Sakari is excited by the presence of this new comer, and loves to explain his politics to others.
I smile and wait for the woman to ask her questions.

"I just want to understand socialisim. Where you're coming from, as it doesn't make a lot of sense to me." I confess. I immediately like him, and realize under different circumstances I could easialy fall for his charm, but I have much greater priorities than following the whims of my body.

"Well, we believe that capitalism is a faulty economic system which contains within it the designs for its own self destruction. We believe that eventually the oppression of workers will become so significant that the workers will raise up and over throw the capitalist class, and establish their own system of governance. They will take control of the means of production. Work and production will be based on human needs and common good, rather than for profits. The economy will be harnessed to provide equally for humans and no longer subject to the whims of supply and demand." Bassarov explains.

"Okay... But what does oppression have to do with economics and vice versa?"

"Well, have fun then. Just don't get too slothed." Peter finishes his drink and sets his glass on the bar. "Night, Mr. Bartender."
He stands and yawns, then walks towards the door, rubbing his eyes. They still kinda stung from that shot of vodka to the face. "Man, wasted evening..."

(Damn, and I wanted to speak at the meeting... wait, can I still speak?)
Alejos remains quiet for a bit, watching as Bassarov converses with this woman who asks questions about Socialism.

"I can answer that," Alejos says, joining the conversation. "the people are opressed by the corporations. You can only be rich and powerful if there are those who are poor and toiling in factories to compare yourself too. Under Capitalism the corporations hold the power. Big business CEOs and other such high ranking business officials keep a tight grip on the masses, firing those who would organize a strike, paying slave wages because the times allow them to do so, etcetera, etcetera.
"Oh, so sorry. Forgive my lack of manners. I am Alejos Coy," he said, extending a hand to shake.

Peter yawns, walking down the street towards his hotel. Maybe he should fly back home tommorrow. He'd stop off at his place in Seattle, see his old friends, then catch a plane down to LA or something.
He'd traveled all over this world and he'd come to the conclusion that American girls were not only the best looking, but they were the loosest by far. A unbeatable combination in Peter's opinion.
But before he can consider his plans in more detail, his attention is drawn to a group of people. He heard something about overthrowing capitalism. He always found socialist kind of funny but where he turns to look at them he nearly reachs for his gun, which is painful. His right hand wasn't in snap drawing condition after all. They were some of the guys from the train.
Peter relaxes himself and walks towards them slowly. He should see what they were up to. Vacation or not they... were... Zero. Peter's mouth goes dry. Someone else had taken an interest in these guys besides him. Special forces to be exact. He stops a short distance away from the group. This... was different. He wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want to break into a special forces operation but at the same time he really wanted to know what she was doing here.
Peter swallows, sighs, and keeps walking. Hopefully she'd recognise him. He didn't want to blow any cover she might have by addressing her first.

"Rei Usagi." I reply. "And I still don't understand. I understand that people are paid what they are worth, you're saying that's wrong somehow?"
I notice a man that I vaguely recognize walking up. "Oh hi, sit down. We were just about to order lunch."

"In some ways, yes. People can't live off a mere $5 an hour, even if they somehow manage to work 18 hours a day. The expense of basic necessities sucks it up. There are many ways in which our current economic state opresses the masses...
"For instance, no one should be denied healthcare. It's just not right. Healthcare should be given to those who need it, not just those who have large amounts of cash. No one should be denied a college education. Everyone should be given a chance, regardless of what their parents can and cannot pay for. People claim you can make a better life for yourself, but in reality it all depends on where you were born and I don't think that's right. Just because your parents have no money doesn't mean you should spend the rest of your life in servitude to those who were born into wealth."

Peter nods, "Oh, thank you." Peter sits down and shifts so his arm is not touching anything. "How kind of you to extend a invition to a stranger." He offers Zero is undamaged hand. "Peter. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too." I say, finally recognizing his face from a picture in Soldier of Fortune magazine. I've fought both with and against him, though we've never come in direct contact before. I turn back to Alejos. "Things cost money. There is no reason anyone should get a free ride out of life." I state.

"I'm not saying they should - if you mooch off the proletariat then you become a burden to society as a whole. I'm just saying that if you're born into poverty it's not just cause to be denied healthcare. Would you let a child die simply because it was born into a family without enough money to pay for an iron lung?"

"If he couldn't pay back the costs of the care before his projected retirement age than yes. Why should all of society have to pay for one person when it's entirely their problem?"
