"Hi, this is James Mahon of the Independent. I was just wondering if we could change the time of the interview tomorrow?" His hands were shaking.

James froze, was this some cruel joke his sub had played on him. Did he know about his performance tomorrow?
He had to say something. "Emm" His voice was trembling. "I was informed that there was to be an interview tomorrow in the Lotus Hotel. Maybe your secretary scheduled it for you?"

My secretary has not told me of such things. Is this some kind of joke? Are you ok? Alex asked as he pulled into his garage, got out, and headed into his house. He walked into his library and checked his messages.

I sleep for 9 hours and am woken up by the sound of a maid at the door. I am a little perturbed by this intrusion, and can not fall asleep after I send her away. I like to get 12 hours of sleep when I can. I am a sleep addict.
I take a shower and check out of the hotel. I steal a van and start driving out of the city. I don't know where I am headed, but I suppose it doesn't matter.

James fell into his chair. He wiped sweat from his forhead. The sub who had told him about this was of the more serious kind, not the fella to mess about.
Look I'm sorry if I'm wasting your time, but this is the Alex Larson who was involved in the train incident going to moscow? Can you check and make sure if you really dont have an interview scheduled. If so it needs to be changed." James said forcefully. The last thing he needed was stupid things like things interupting his violin practice.

I have no interviews scheduald untill April. May I ask who you are with and what the interview would be about? And yes, I was the one on the train. He wrote down some notes on a sheet of paper. Then he stuck on his headphones that were attached to his phone.

James sighed. People like this could be a real pain in the arse. "I'm James Mahon from the Independent, in London. The interview..." James hadn't even considered that yet. "will be about your brush with the terrorists on the train and your most recent merge with the KissKiss cosmetics company"

Bassarov waits outside for his comrades. He picks up a newspaper and reads an artical on Chechen terrorist activities throughout the country. The Russian government owns the media so it is always very biased. But the people do very little about this. They are used to this lack of freedom. At the present, things are no different under capitalism than they were under the Soviet system except for the fact there are very few public welfare programs. This angers people more than the government monopoly on the media. In November thousands of elderly people marched in St. Petersburg to protest the newest cuts to their pensions, housing, and transportation.

I try to rest, but sleep will not approach me. I roll in my covers the clumbsy hunter of restful sleep. I close my eyes, but something worries me. Maybe it is work. I turn on the lamp by my bed. I try to tune out the noises from down on the street.
"What is wrong with me? Why am I so anxious?"
I am anxious because I am out of my league. The world is falling apart and someone stronger is needed. Maybe I should resign. I don't want to be the last secretary general. The world is on the brink of something large. We all know this. Any sense of positive Internationalism is dead. I am speaking on behalf of the corpse, doing my best to make it appear alive, but that doesn't make it any less dead.

Cambridge orders another water, this time, "Bez Gaz."
"Anyway, as I was saying before, I see plenty of women mindlessly chasing after men and it really upsets me. You don't need a man to define who you are. You don't need a relationship to define who you are."

"Well... we actually had a relationship before. I'm not sure if it meant anything to him, but it meant something to me." I say shakily.
