"Well that could be interesting. So what have you been up to lately?" I ask as I set the sealed manila envelope on the secretary's desk.

"I was in Russia for the meeting of the 4th International, then came here for the anarchist meeting. I just can't believe what happened to their leadership. It is so wrong! I'm just glad our party hasn't had to deal with that kind of thing."

"Well it seems that the powers are clamping down on us 'dissidents,' I'm not sure if that's good or bad though."

"We aren't like the other parties. We don't stir up trouble. That isn't for us to do. We can only plant the seeds in the minds of people. I just hope they leave us alone. The whole thing is depressing."
Cambridge sighs.
"But at least I made some new friends. One is a guy named Sakari who is with the Trots, and the other is a girl named Selja who doesn't really care at all about change. They are fun. You should meet them!"

"Hmm, we'll see. I've made a few new friends too, but nothing worth talking about. But I spend so much time travelling that I hardly get time to spend with anyone."

"You should stay with us a while! I'm sure you get lonely traveling around. I don't think they will be around but for a few days anyway. I would love to spend more time hanging out."

"Well sure. I don't have to leave town for a few days, so I might as well spend some time with you and your friends. "

"Well hey, my work is done right now. Let's get something to eat. I can introduce you to them later."

"Sure." I say. I don't know Cambridge that well, but I do know all about the sie/hir thing. I don't quite understand it, and I want to get to know her better.

Cambridge and Tom walk to the nearest cafe and sit down together. "So anyway, it's just hard to come up with things to talk about. Is the local branch still hastling you about being a Christian? I told them it was no big deal..."

"What do you think? They;re all atheists, which I just don't understand. I mean wouldn't God want us to live in peace and harmony? But we're not usually too much at odds about it, I mostly just run errands after all."

"Don't worry about it, I think you are fine as it is. And you're right. All the major religions say the same stuff. Care for the Earth and one another. I don't see why some people make such a big deal out of it. If a person wants to believe in God, that's their choice. I am all about freedom. The rest should be too."

"And I agree, but some people just seem to want 'conformal freedom....' But I really don't want to talk politics. Tell me about you and your new friends. Are you still single, and how's that Bassarov chap we met six months ago?"

"I haven't seen much of Bassarov. He is off meeting with terrorists. It is crazy that the Trots decided to do that. Anyway, I am still single, but have some prospects finally. What about you?"

"Yeah, I'd call it suicidal personally. And I still don't even have a chance at a girlfriend. It seems like women don't even notice me..." Personally I'm glad Cambridge is still single, because it means that I might still have a chance...
