I smile, and nod, feeling a little bad about this not getting anywhere, but understanding.
"It's okay, goodnight Salome." I say, as she leaves the hotel room. I lean back on the bed, and think about her for awhile, shaking my head, and smiling. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to go for a walk or something, this room is making me feel a little claustrophobic now that she's gone. Almost as though her very presence expanded the room.
I wait for a few minutes, to make sure I don't run into her, then get up, and walk outside, enjoying the crisp Finnish air, bringing that book about the French Revolution with me.

"I'm Aleksandra Khodorkovsky, think you can rescue me?" I ask the voice.

"Oh, were here. Alright, lets go guys."

"I am Valodya Bassarov, a socialist revolutionary, and no, I am stuck here as well. But maybe my comrades will come. They at least know I am here." Bassarov feels a little less friendly now that he knows that it is a capitalist in the other room. Her father owns a Russian oil company and he can understand why the Chechens would take her hostage.
"I'm sure that my comrades would rescue you as well. We are good people and hold no grudges." He assures her, even though he isn't sure he what they would do with her after the rescue mission.

I wake up, pulling the sleeping bag down just below my chin, then sit up, feeling very well rested despite sleeping on the floor with less than an inch of padding and my jacket as a pillow. I scratch my various morning areas, and make a chewing motion with my mouth, then walk through the house in my pajamas, having little trouble making myself at home, since the place is so messy.
I see a bowl of cream of wheat resting on my stomach, and carefully get up to eat and not spill it.
"Hey thanks man." I say to Antero, nibbling the food.

"The driver told us about a hostel we can stay at. And what was that you were saying Lysander?" Cambridge asks as sie leads them towards the run down hostel.

"Wonderful, a communist. This is just wonderful. Maybe I should start going to church because I think God is smiting me."
I roll my eyes and lean back against the wall, ignoring now the terrorists and the communist in the next room.

"What? I don't know. I had this really wierd dream. No big deal. Dreams are wierd. Anyway..."
"Should we knock, or just go in?" I say as we approach the door.

"So what do you think of Nea?" Antero asks Niko randomly. He is not sure why he asked, but it seemed like a good way to start a conversation. Anyway, Nea is asleep, so he thought it would be a good time to talk about it.

The assault team does not take long to get ready. By the time we arrive in Grozny we are already dressed in our body armor and have our silenced MP5 submachine guns ready. Acting as a translator for the Russian captain I talk to Director James. "Director, we have been assigned to you and to Major Usagi. We will go in under her direction and eliminate the terrorists, but safeguarding the lives of any of our citizens that they may be holding hostage is our top priority. Is that understood?"

"Let's go in." The group enters and are given a room together. Rooms at hostels have bunkbeds and sometimes accomodate over 12 people. Their room is empty but for them.
"Well this is nice." Cambridge says as a large rodent runs across the floor under a bed.
"That can be your bed, Sakari."

"Yes, yes of course. My plan is that we will not attack tonight. No, not tonight. It would be better if we reamined no the outskirts of their location. Tomorow, latter as the day is winding down, we will get set up in a perimeter, under camoflage, and close in, giving them supprise and alarm. Everyone alright with that?"

I have remained silent for most of the trip because I have been irritated, both at the utter stupidity of this trip, and the fact that Cambridge seems more interested in this Sakari than me. "So what's the plan now? We're here, do we know where to look?"

"No sir." the commander replies in an irritated tone. "Our assault is prepared for tonight. We have obtained cooperation of the Air Force and Army for this, cooperation we will not have if we wait. Also by tommorow they may learn of our presence, you wouldn't want that would you?" the commander says as he gives you a wry look.
