Bassarov smiles. "We'll see. Capitalism hasn't exactly brought any miracles to my country. I think that many people could look to socialism with fondness with all of the corruption, unemployment, lowered living standards, and the weathering away of any semblance of democracy here. I think the past may be helpful in someways."

"He was a leader, but only for our group in the city. I don't think he was imporant enough to get arrested." I begin to worry that maybe he was arrested. He hasn't called since the meeting and that isn't like him.
"Columbia is too messed up for a revolution right now. Maybe I should go to Russia instead and see if I can find out what happened to my leader."
"I don't know what to do."

"If you're wanting to partake in a revolution Russia is not a place I'd suggest. Things there are very bad according to Vodya," Alejos said, standing up and stretching his legs.
"Why don't you come with me to Brazil. Within the next month we're expecting to launch our campaign. The 4th International is looking for him as we speak. I'm sure we'll be able to find something on your teacher, and if not... I'm sure he'd want your group to partake in the revolution and perpetuate Socialism throughout the world."

"Sure. I will go to Brazil with you. Leaving my parents and this country sounds like a good idea. And I bet I could learn a lot."
I smile and eat some of my omlette. This is very exciting. I would love to be part of the revolution. I hate it here anyway so it will give me something to do.
"Are you hungry? Julia made breakfast."
"You can go to Brazil, but please write me. I will miss you and you are one of my only friends here." Julia says.
"Don't worry Julia, I will write. Everything will be just fine."

"Yeah." I say, deciding it best not to bring up that Russia is a textbook example of wasted potential on a national scale. "Maybe someday, hopefully someday soon..."

"Of course," she says in a smooth voice.

Russians who dislike capitalism are numerous, but it is a reactionary stance which lacks any kind of revolutionary socialist energy. Bassarov isn't sure where the next revolution would be, but assumes South America since there is more revolutionary socialist zeal there than anywhere in the world currently.
"...Oi, I almost forgot about Selja...I imagine she is worried by now." Bassarov says, not explaining who Selja is.

"Okay then, let's go and see them." I say as I lead her off to the conference room.

(Sorry, my mom says I've got to go after this post.)
"Ok then, we'll leave in a week or so, after I've had a chance to talk to the members of your Socialist group," Alejos said, sitting down but not eating.

"Selja? You mean the girl in Helsinki? We told her that we had a meeting to go to, though she did seem somewhat worried about you."

"I will go to my party and tell them that you are here. I will invite them all over to meet you."
I finish my breakfast, put my dishes away, and put on my jacket.
"I will be back later with my socialist friends."
I head out of the door to locate all of them. They will all want to meet him.

"Yes, she's a friend of mine who worries a little too much about me. But thanks for covering things for me. I wouldn't want her to know that I was hurt, though considering my burns, stitches, and bruises, it will be hard for her not to tell."

"Well you could always play down the story, and not tell her that you were almost killed. I'm sure she will understand." I state, and swing my legs out to get out of bed. "I need to get up and move around, and to hell with what the doctor says."

"I think I will stay here. Maybe I can use the down time to catch up on some reading. But if you are looking for something to do, Cambridge and Sakari are out trying to find out what happened to the leadership. You could join them if you feel up to it."

"Well I don't think I am quite that well yet, just around the hospital for now. You want anything from the food court?"
