"I am going to be frank with you. I am concerned with world hunger. I am concerned with the AIDs epidemic. I am concerned with the well being of women and children. I am concerned with human rights in general. We uphold freedom of speech, assembly, and to agitate. There are leftists terrorist groups but we do not treat them any differently than right wing or militant Islamist groups."
"We are not an organization equipt to fight terrorism. We fight disease, poverty, injustice, and defend human rights. But our military strength comes from our member nations, and it is only employed in situations of genocide or other dire threats to human rights."

I decide that 'he' is in no condition to give directions, so I just drive home. When we arrive I help 'him' out of the car. "Well we're here. We can either take you to the spare room to crash, or we can get you something to eat first."

The pamphlets which were printed gave this basic message: Be Prepared For The Day Brazil Stands Still!
This Tuesday:
Do not go to work!
Do not use money!
Do not go shopping!
Take up peacful protests!
Refuse to be exploited by the upper classes any longer!
The Corporations refuse to meet demands of a higher standard of living. You, the workers, are the ones made to suffer for a few wealthy men's stingyness! Show them that they can't exploit you if you refuse to be exploited! Let them fear the power that we the proletariat hold in our hands!
This Tuesday Brazil's industries shall hit a standstill, showing them that we will not be opressed, exploited, or slaves to their wages any longer!
Workers of the World Unite in the 4th Internationale! "Great work, now start printing as many of these out as you can. We'll send crates of them to our headquarters throughout Brazil. This will show the world that the international proletariat refuses to be exploited any longer," Alejos says proudly. His Comrades begin sending them to their printing presses and printing the pamphlets out. Later the various members of the 4th Internationale will pass these out, post them on telephone polls, fences, etc. etc.

"Can I have some coffee and a couple of tylenol, please?" Dylan asks as sie gets unsteadily out of the car.
"Hey, thanks for moving my car and letting me crash at your place."
Dylan smiles somewhat dopily, and adjusts hir glasses.
"You know, I've never actually been drunk before."

"And I am concerned with the preservation of world order." I say sternly. "You posess the international pressure to corner and starve off any nation that harbors terrorists, yet you do not. These are concerns that transcend the lives of a few, or a few thousand, yet you do nothing about them." As I speak I begin writing up two documents. The first is a draft proposal for the United States withdrawl from the UN, which will be copied by our allies in Japan. The second is an order to Los Alamos, initiating a crash program to begin manufacturing nuclear weapons again after a 500 year hiatus....

"Well I have, and you have to be careful or you'll black out and wake up next to someone you've never seen before in your life... And that only happened once." I say as we walk in. "Hey Dad, I brought a new friend over. Care if he stays in the spare room?"
"Sure Crissy. Looks pretty toasted, want me to get the coffee pot going?"
"Yes, and some breakfast too. Thanks."

"Thanks. You're really nice," Dylan says, after Cris's father leaves the room. Even drunk, sie has enough sense to know that hir non-masculine voice could give hir away. Dylan is always a little worried about getting bashed.
Dylan smiles gratefully before going into the now prepared room and falling asleep.

"I think you overestimate the power of the United Nations. Our power comes from the collective power of our member nations."
"We don't have the power to do anything as an organization without a majority in the General Assembly and more importantly, the support of the member nations of the Security Council. These issues of yours are something you need to speak to your own State Department and diplomats about as well as your CIA. I as a person do not have the power to decide policy. Policy is presented to us by the diplomats of our member nations. If you have a proposal that you would like to see on our agenda, then by all means submit it to your diplomats so they present it to us."
"If we have not been dealing with the threat of terrorism properly, it is because our member nations have not made issue of it. But in fact they have, and we are discussing terrorism and potential policies at the General Assembly."
"I suggest that you consult your head of the State Department, since you clearly overestimate my own power as well as the power of the United Nations."

I turn around and see Dylan go into the room. "Don't worry about the food, he's going to bed already."
"Well I hope for your sake this isn't just another two-night fling. You really shouldn't be doing that." my father says sternly.
"Oh no... I just met him today. He looked pretty drunk and I wanted to help him out." I say. I don't mention that I do think he's cute, and that's why I noticed him in the first place...
"Well okay..."

"Have a pleasant day." I hang up the phone and roll my eyes. "Americans." I go to the other line where I was talking to Capulet. "I am back, sorry to make you wait." I say in a pleasant voice. I am actually annoyed by the gruff general who mistakingly thought that I had some magnificent power over International affairs. If only the UN did. We facilitate global peace and the protection human rights, but we can not enforce it. To do so would infringe on national rights and sovereignty, and although I am not entirely against that, our method of power by voluntary cooperation will simply have to do.

"Chinese it is then." Antero puts on his jacket and heads out the door. He waits for Nea and Niko to follow after. It doesn't take long to walk to the Chinese place and they are quickly seated.

"Yum. I'm hungry too," Nea settles in the booth, and picks up the menu. She already had an idea of what she wanted but she just looked at the menu anyway, to pass time.
