Zivon comes back into the apartment with two paper bags under his arms, and a plastic bag dangling from his index finger.
"I remember before you gave up food you liked pumpkin pie. I got you some pumpkin pie." I say, ignoring the fact that his 'friend' is gone. I smile, knowing that he's going to be worried about me judging him, I'll let him sweat it out for awhile.

"General Strikes, hmmm?" I ask, and then make the connection. "Oh so you're a socialist... That's cool, I've never slept with a socialist before." I say. I don't really care about his personal views, as long as he doesn't mess with my country...

After Shura leaves, Heikki remains terrified. He tries to come up with excuses he can tell Zivon. He can't think of anything good ones. When Zivon finally returns he replies in a broken voice.
"I'll...I'll try some pie." He says tilting his head oddly.

After a long day of various prayer and church services I go to bed, then get up and begin work getting ready for a prearranged tour of the mine. I own a 1/5 share of the coal mine, and I've arranged to allow some socialists to take a tour of the mine to show them how the free-market system can work for the people. After all my main goal in life is to bring people of good heart together, and even the far left has plenty of good people in it...

"Right on, I knew you liked pumpkin pie..." Zivon replies, taking out the pie.
"I got you some whipped cream too." I say, taking a piece of the pie for myself.
"Have you seen Dariya around?" Zivon asks somewhat nervously. "She creeps me out, man..."

"She missed you and went out drinking again." Heikki replies. He sits at the table across from Zivon and has some pie. He can hear the clanking of his fork on the plate. He feels ashamed and that by not saying anything, Zivon is insulting him. But he will not bring it up.
"I kind of wondered where you went. I thought you got tired of me. You didn't leave a note or anything." Heikki says as he takes a bite of pie.

Sakari smirks.
"Ah I'm impressed..." I reply, leaving out the fact that I got kicked out of my party. "With anarchist leanings." I add with somewhat of a disclaimer.

"Oh anarchists? I knew a couple of them in high school, they were really just potheads." I say. I climb into the bed and motion for him to get in next to me.

"You want me to check in too, mom?" Zivon replies sarcastically. "I'll give you a call to let you know who I've been fucking."
I take another bite out of the pie, ignoring again, the encounter I just witnessed.
"Dariya really needs a guy to take care of her. Someone who isn't me." Zivon says between bites. "I mean really, she has psychological problems."

"Shura is right, you are an asshole. I don't know why I even call you a friend." Heikki says, then stuffs some pie into his mouth.
"She's a nice girl deep down. She really cares about you. You shouldn't be so mean to people who care about you. I know it doesn't mean anything to you, but to the people who care it does." Heikki replies.

Sakari grabs the vending machine food and sits down beside Cris.
"Yeah they're always bickering too... They don't really get much done. Other than bickering of course." I reply, opening up the bag.
"You much into politics?" Sakari asks casually. He has a feeling that she has different politics than he did, but that wasn't really anything new. And maybe it's because they just had sex, but he doesn't really feel that threatened by this difference of opinion.

"Well not really. I vote and all, but that's about the limit of my political involvement. I usually vote Republican, but not always., Really you probaly know a lot more than I do."

Zivon pauses his chewing, then swallows hard, as though he hadn't chewed his pie enough.
"Heikki... Having sex is a pretty mutual decision, it takes two to tango so the saying goes. I could be anyone, I just happened to fuck her. She has codependency issues that should be worked out." I say casually.
"I asked if she wanted to sleep with me, she did, now she's falling head over heels in love with me. How fucked up is that? That's not my fault, that's hers."

Heikki doesn't really care about Dariya, but these words are upsetting. Heikki sits there and glares at Zivon. Those callous words seem to hurt him as if they are directed not at Dariya, but towards him.
Heikki doesn't know what takes hold of him, but before his logic and good sense can interviene, he lunges across the kitchen, grabs Zivon by the collar and throws pie in his face.
He realizes what he has done and drops the empty pie tin onto the floor. He stares blankly at Zivon's pumpkiny and whipped cream face, keeping his hand to Zivon's collar.
"Zivon..." He says shaking his head.
"I'd say I'm sorry, but I don't believe in appologies."
"I'd say..."

When the pie hits his face, Zivon closes his eyes, and doesn't flinch as Heikki begins to vent.
I wipe the cream out of my eyes, and lick around my lips.
"You know, you need to do that more often. I swear, you're like a bad goth poem sometimes, you're going to end up killing yourself." Zivon replies, smiling and licking his fingers.
"You feel better now, don't you?"
