I notice Heikki and Sakari enter the cafe. I wave them over and pull out seats for them.
"Hello you two. I see you slept in."
"So we have a few options as to where we can travel. We can either go to Venezuela to meet with some of my comrades there or we can go to Congo and work with those comrades."

Heikki shrugs. "I'm not a socialist. So I don't really care. I'm just here for the hell of it." He turns to Sakari to see what he will decide.

"The world is going to hell in a handbasket." Vance mutters to himself as he gets inside his car. He has a busy schedual for the next few days. He is meeting with German Chancellor Rommel to learn about him and his intentions for Germany. After this visit, he will travel to Israel and try to convince government officials to postpone any aggression until the situation can be evaluated properly. The entire situation in Germany seems like a hoax. It is beyond his belief that something like this could have happened, but he is no less shocked than the international community. Everyone looks to Germany with fear and confusion. In this day and age, it seems impossible that national socialists would come to power. But he reminds himself of the problems in Germany in recent months and the recent political changes there may be less harmful than people believe. He would like to think that Germans are intelligent enough to avoid past mistakes.
He gets into the plane and soon is headed to meet Rommel. He is determined not to be bamboozled by hope or idealism. He must be cautious and sharp minded in his dealings with the German leader later today.

The UN is in a state of crisis since we really were not prepared for this at all. What do we do when a stable, reliable, European country simply decides they no longer want to participate in the United Nations? They opt out of international discussion, claim they are no longer subject to international law, and no longer recognises such things as the International Criminal Court? There have always been some troublesome nations that aren't the most cooperative, but Germany apparently wants nothing to do with the international community.
We debate and discuss late into the night. I have a headache by the time we quit, and we have decided nothing. Economic sanctions, sending in UN troops, many ideas are thrown around. We will continue the discussions tomorrow, and hopefully by the end of next week we will have a resolution.
I return to my home and go to my room for some needed rest. I just...don't know. Those doubts return. Maybe I should step down as Secretary General. I am not doing a very good job of keeping things together. There are just too many challenges to the organization. My only hope is in the reforms I have been advocating.

Niilo heads home to his apartment when he is done with his political work for the day. He has to prepare for some educationals he is doing this week as well as print up some flyers for upcoming events, but other than that, his evening is free. On evenings such as these, he explores his other interests, the main one being, meteorology. He has his own weather site, which he updates daily. Mainly it features local weather conditions and major weather events worth making mention of.

Gabriel takes the long way back to the center since things have had to be more secretive now. HOLY is in the process of going underground. Things are being moved and the leaders have already left the centers. He drives his car slowly through the park, past a church. Many churches across the country have volunteered to hide HOLY operatives. But, there will be fewer abortionist bombings and fewer assassinations. The miracle makers are angry, but this will pass. The end of the world is near anyway. This is just a sign of darker days before the return.
Gabriel enters the church to pick up some supplies and donations. The church is empty, but the package is set out for him. The Mary Martha Society was kind enough to knit some scarves as a token of gratitude to the pro life assassins. There are some other things in the box, but it isn't Gabriel's business to look around inside. The less that HOLY operatives know about the workings of the organization, the better. He just follows his orders.
He carries the box out to his car, tosses it in the back, puts on his sun glasses and drives off. He's been a little paranoid ever since HOLY was added to the U.S. list of terrorist organizations. This isn't terrorism. It's HOLY war.
He gets back to the compound later that evening. No one is talking and a lot of stuff has been cleared out. He delivers the box to a Bishop and meets with some fellow Angels who just got back from a miracle. They got confirmation that Hearst turned in some documents to the government. At least she's dead, but the damage is already done.
Gabriel is told he will be moving to Texas and staying with a Pastor and his wife until things blow over. He does not like the idea of this, but an order is an order. With a new set of orders he leaves the center and gets into his car. It's going to be a long night of driving.

Antero gets off the phone with Shura and turns to Nea. She has been waiting for him to get off the phone for sometime now. "Hey, well, I guess we didn't conclude much. I was thinking of like a group of people could storm a meeting of the EU and just tell them how pissed off we are. But I dunno now. I don't know what to do. This sucks." Antero says to Nea. He is frustrated about the whole situation.

"Hey Linnea, I wanted to meet with the head of the 4th international here in Finland. Since I don't speak a word of Finnish, can you come along and help me out...you know, just in case he doesn't speak English." Garret asks Linnea. He has enjoyed the past few days he has spent with her, but feels he needs to do more politically.

Vance arrives in Berlin and is drive to the Reichstag, where he is escorted to an office. He waits inside the office for Chancellor Rommel. As he waits, he taps his foot and admires the print on the curtains. He is not nervous in the least, but doesn't know what to expect. Just a few weeks ago Rommel was an obscure figure in world politics.

"Hey let's go to Venezuela!" Sakari says excitedly. Venezuela has been under worker's control for quite some time, and the capitalists have been frightened and pressed against the wall.
"That would be exciting. Do either of you speak Spanish?"

"I have some comrades there in the ISO who can translate for us, and yes, Venezuela has been drifting further to the left for years now. It should be a good experience for all of us."
"There have been some protests there recently from a small group of capitalists and the United States is becoming more and more unfriendly towards their government. We are keeping an eye on the political situation there, but have some worries about those capitalists and about the U.S." I say to Sakari and Heikki.
"I will go online and get us some tickets then." I pull out my laptop and begin searching for cheap tickets. I am fortunate to have more money than most socialists, and it is no trouble for me to buy us all the tickets.
"You'll have to teach me to play poker sometime, Sakari."

Frederick has been examining documents which list his salary, and other benefits attached to being the chancellor. He feels disgusted at the very notion that politicians have such luxuries while they're busy ignoring immigration laws. He slams the binder shut, stands up, and walks to the room where he's meeting with American secretary of state, Vance Ashland.
"Ah, you're early. Good to see you." Frederick says in English with a moderate German accent. He extends his hand and shows him a friendly smile.

"Hello Mr. Rommel. It is a pleasure to meet you." Vance replies as he shakes hands. He too offers a friendly smile, though with him, his expressions always have some level of arrogance. "You've been causing quite a stir in the international community, I must say."

"Right on. Hey, can you afford tickets for everyone like that? I can pay my own fare..." Sakari suggests. He still has his forged Finnish military passport.
"Have you ever been to Argentina Heikki?"
