Helene jokes lightly with them. Now now children, do I have to seperate you two? She crawls over to the fridge and pulls out a fruit punch soda and some leftover flan from last night.

"Well don't have the socialists pressure you into joining them. If you want to be a hedonist, stick with that." I say to Helene somewhat randomly.
It is a remark related to our earlier conversation about Cornelius.

I shake my head. "I mean long term happiness. Sure it's fun to get down with someone you don't know, but it's dangerous and downright stupid so I don't do it very often. I work where I work because I enjoy it and it makes me feel proud. That's also why I'm a Christian and a reservist."

I climb out of bed, and notice that I need to be back at the airport... Like, now. I crawl out of bed and notice that I have a horrible hangover, and have no idea where it came from. I remember walking through the streets, stopping at a bar, and...
I climb out of bed, and toss some egg yolks, tomato juice, and worchester sauce together. I down it in two hard swigs, and make a pained, squinty face. I get dressed, check out of my hotel, and take a cab back to the airport.
**LATER**
I arrive at the airport a little later than I had planned, but not too terribly late. I look around for Rei, feeling a little better about my hangover.

Finally I am ready to leave, so I walk down to the airport carrying my bags. I decided that I will just go back to London for now, since I am honestly scared of Mary, even though I like her. Right now Cambridge is more of a concern to me, I feel a need to patch the rent in our friendship that if anything has grown wider recently... I sleep all the way to London.

(Your supposed to at lots of lemon for that to work, Mischa!)
Helene raises an eyebrow at Hope then smiles. I am a hedonist first, a socialist second. Followed by archo-feminist.

"Socialism and my girlfriend made me happy, but sometimes happiness isn't enough." Brandon replies. "I want more than that. This life would be for nothing if I didn't push myself to examine who I really am and the meaning or meaninglessness of life."He goes to the kitchen and gets some lemonade. "Want some lemonade?" He asks.

I notice Mischa, and see that he is very hung over. I stub out what's left of my cigarette and walk up behind him.
"ATTENTION ON DECK!" I say loudly, and laugh when he nearly jumps out of his skin. "It's fine. What you do on your off time is your business..."

"I understand. I wasn't aware that you were a socialist and a feminist."
"So are you still with Deetric?" I ask her, forgetting that she wouldn't even know who that is.

"Sure, what proof is it? And so who are you, and what's the meaning of life? Or haven't you figured anything out yet?" I ask him.

"Right now, nothing has meaning. There is no purpose. I had to start over fresh. So there is no morality. There is no standard." Brandon replies. "That's where I'm at." He brings her the lemonade and sits down in the living room in a chair to enjoy his own tall glass.

Helene gives Hope a look then closes her eyes. Has she slept with anyone named Deetric?? Who's Deetric? Helene stares directly at Hope but... she doesn't feel anything. What the hell?

"Nothing has meaning? I don't see how that works, but I'm sure you'll figure something out." I sniff the lemonaide, and can tell that it's just lemonaide which is a good thing since it's still too early for alcohol. I take a sip. "This is pretty good. Homemade or doctored?"

"Oh, I am sorry. I had you confused with someone else. Sorry about that. I knew another Helene and she was with someone named Deetric."
I feel embarassed and watch the movie quietly until that feeling passes.
