I just nod, since the combination is about enough to turn my stomach even though I have eaten things that would make most people vomit. "Well our flight is due right now, so let's get going." It only takes us a few minutes to be seated in the smoking-permitted Coach section. "This is a short flight, only two hours. Here, you can have the window seat."

"Well I think the conciquences of rejecting morals and then finding out that they were right in the first place is enough reason for me. And all that odd stuff sounds disgusting anyways."

Helene looks at Hope and knows she is making her uncomfortable. She just doesn't understand. Unless she is a mind-reader but Helene seriously doubts that. She just knows something is off about her.
I remember everyone I meet. It's okay. You just startled me. I never tell anyone my dreams.
She turns and opens the door. Lysander falls back onto her feet. He appears to be asleep. Helene smiles, steps over him and picks up one of Lysander's feet. She drags him to the bed as if he weighs nothing and puts him on the bed. He lets out a loud snore that makes Helene laugh. Wanna go shopping, Hope? I don't think we can watch a movie with Mr. Snore-A-Lot in here.

"But maybe they aren't right. I would rather rediscover that something is right, then believe in something because someone told me to or everyone else does. Think about it." Brandon replies.
"Think about early scientists, who were first discovering things in the natural world... like in botany. A child can study botany and be told that Chlorophyl is the green pigment in plants, but it means more to find out for yourself by examining plants and drawing your own conclusion. It becomes real. Even though one took more effort, the self discovery bears more meaning than taking for granted. You OWN that truth."

"Sure, it would be nice to have a talk with anotehr woman. I have some things on my mind anyway."
We leave together and start walking to the nearest shopping center.
"I need some advice. There is someone who I care about, but he doesn't even know who I am, and I doubt he would care about me. Should I just move on and find someone else or should I be patient?"

I sigh, mostly to prevent myself from making any more direct gestures. "Well if they're wrong I'm not missing out on that much, and I'd rather not take that chance. I mean I smoke, I drink and I tend to sleep around. I think that's bad enough for my tastes."

"That's half hearted." Brandon replies. "And that's good that you challenge some things, but this is life. This is it. We've got to make sure we are living right, since this is it. I don't want any regrets or doubts."

Helene grabs a wad of money from her purse and puts it in her bra but leaves some in her purse. She knows kids like to steal when they really need the money. She doesn't mind but she doesn't want them to have it all.
I say move on. There is a time and place for everything. Even true love.

"Thanks." I say as I take the window seat. I can't help but always feel like a kid on a plane, or maybe a naive farm boy or something...
The plane takes off and I look down at the city.
"Did you finish everything you had to do?" I reply. I have a hunch that she wouldn't just take a couple days off if she didn't have something else to kill time with.

"You might be right."
We enter the shopping center and I see a store with clothes that look to be my style.
"I will just see what happens."

I am starting to get irritated at all of this, but I try not to show it. "Well I don't feel like talking about this anymore... So what did you do before you came here?"

"Yeah. I had some work to do and I wanted to visit someone for personal reasons." I pause to light my cigarette, and offer him one. "I don't have very many friends, and most of them live in other countries..."

"I was a socialist living in Helsinki and dating an artist." Brandon replies in an annoyed tone. This visit is not going very well at all.

Helene holds up a laced corset to herself and looks in the mirror. This will make a nice clubbing shirt. Personally, the guy I always dream about. Thats the man I am supposed to end up with. No matter how many men I sleep with between now and him, I will always know I belong to him. Helene picks out some Ultra Low Rise jeans but with her big butt, they will hardly cover anything. She swaps them for a pair of Just Below the Waist. Do you think this guy is your soul mate?

I accept the cigarette and light up.
"Thanks... That sounds rough. I don't really have many friends either, and well..." I think to myself.
"They're mostly in other countries as well." I look through the window over the mainland.
"It's good you got to see someone at least."
**LATER**
The plane lands in North Dakota, and we leave the airplane into the terminal.
"We're meeting Declan, right?"
