"Well, that's comforting... I'm on a plane surrounded by oversexed weirdos. Well, except you I suppose." Peter didn't really see Rei as having much of a sex life. She was an agent, like him. Agents didn't have time for stuff like that, no matter what the movies might imply. "Oh well, who knows? We'll be traveling the world after all. Maybe I'll meet some hot foreign woman who falls for my wild good looks at first sight. Or something like that." They buy the ties and head back towards the cars. "Anyone else on this little Love Plane of yours or is it just us?"

I can't help but chuckle at his jokes. "Well I had faxed two others that I thought would work out well. With any luck they will be flying here commercially in a few days. If not they should be arriving at Minot Air Force Base in a few days and we can pick them up."

"Wonderful." Peter tosses his set of ties into the backseat of his car and then keep following Rei. "So we'll be here for a few days then, eh? Well, should be interesting. So what are you going to do with Bassarov? If he is a revolutionary then we can't just let him go can we? I don't know what the state policy is these days but I've been 'removing' guys just like him for the last few years."

I try not to glare at him. "He's just a talker, he's harmless. So of course we'll let him go, unless he wants to come with us."

"Let him go. Right. Talkers are dangerous Rei, you should know that. But fine, I won't press the point." Peter falls silent, but he wonders why Rei is showing such restraint. Maybe he didn't know her as well as he thought he did, but he would have sworn she was the kind to eliminate Bass's sort. He hoped she wasn't getting emotional involved in the man. "Ready to head back?"

"Yes." I say as I get back in the truck. When we arrive back at the airfield I park under the plane's wing and get out. When Peter gets out I decide I need to give him some sort of explination. "The rules of engagement state that anyone that does not take up arms is not a target. I can't kill him unless he takes up arms." Sure this is a load of crap, but hopefully he buys it.

"Ya, I know, I know," Peter responds, sounding annoyed, as if she was explaining something he already knew. Which he did. She was stating offical policy. But he knew, and knew that she knew, that offical policy didn't apply to people like them. She was smoke screening. "That's why I left. No way to get things done like that." And now he was bullshiting himself. He hadn't left, he'd been rifted. Peter layed the ties around his neck and folded his hands behind his head, walking towards the plane. "You should consider private work, Rei. You'd do good with more freedoms."

"I like working for a boss. Even if he's Dra... a draconic asshole. Some people need to be told what to do, even if the order includes no spacifics whatsoever. I'm one of those." I climb up the stairs back into the cabin, putting the truck keys on the complimentary Boeing keyring I got with the plane. I'm getting rather tired, mostly from the arguing.

"Well, to each their own." Peter set the ties down and followed Rei through the plane. He stretches and rolls the shoulder of his sore arm. "Does it bother you being the only woman in this crew? I just realized that we're shaping up to be a cleche. Weird guy, confused guy, crazy guy, and the token vag... woman. You know what, never mind, forget I asked."

"Well it doesn't bother me... To be frank I don't consider myself a woman, since at least in my opinion manhood and womanhood don't mean male and female, but rather refer to behaviors. And yes I am a fully functional female, so that's not it." I walk into the bunk area and lay down a ways from Bassarov and Mischa, since I expect that Peter will probaly talk some more and I don't want to disturb them.

"Right. Your kinda weird, Rei." Peter continues to follow Rei. He pulls off his long coat, tossing it onto an empty bunk, then removing his belt and shoulder hulsters and adding them to the pile. "Your a good agent, a decent leader, and your rather attractive, but your still weird."

"Believe me, you're not the first person to say that, and you won't be the last." Since I am wearing my usual skirt and tee shirt I decide just to sleep in them, though normally I sleep in just my panties he is right that I am the only female onboard and I don't want to give the guys any ideas. "But thanks for the compliments. I don't get them very often." I admit.

"Ya, the military doesn't hand them out much. You get alot of complients in the private sector though. Mostly the kind with a one followed by alot of zeros, if you follow me?" Peter lays down on his back, on the bunk across from Rei and rests his head on his folded hands. "Sorry I'm such an ass all the time, Rei," he says without reason. He's not sure why he feels the need to say so, but he did all the same. "Just my way of life I suppose. I'm tryin' to stop. No good having your teammates pissed at you all the time, right?"

"I quite agree. I'm sure you'll be able to work it out with yourself..." I stop to yawn. "I need to get some sleep. I'll talk to you in the morning, goodnight." I say, and turn off the cabin lights, leaving only the red 'night light' that's always on as long as the generator is running.
(goodnight)
