I'm doing my best to let her know that she doesn't have to stay if she doesn't want to, so I'm getting the impression that she wants to stay, but is afraid. I do my best to calm her.
"Well hey, you can ask me anything you like, and I'll be considerate and careful." I say, then touch her hand as gently as I can, hoping that it won't scare her.

The plans are perfected after long meetings. It appears that the Bundestag will fall Friday. Christian doesn't know what this will mean for Das Ende. This is something the nazis will have to deal with on their own after the attack. For now, everything seems in order. Christian is dismissed from the meeting and allowed to do as he pleases for the rest of the week. He says goodbye to Gretchen and wanders through Berlin looking for some entertainment. He sees a Cabaret bar and enters to see what they have to offer.

"I'm sure they're very nice people once you get beyond the whole 'indiscriminate killing of civilians' thing. I'm sure not all terrorists kill indiscriminately, but you know..." Sakari says, looking up. He sees the shady men in the corner that Cambridge was talking about, all three of them look up and wave.
"Holy crap, how did you know I knew Yevgeny? Hey Yev! What's up seedy comrade??" I ask, trotting over to them.

Cambridge notices that they are laughing about somethings. Sie about has a heartattack that they actually know him.
Sie grabs Sakari by the arm.
"See if they know any other ways to Chechnya besides the train. I heard the train ride is unsafe and unreliable...." Sie whispers to him.

"Well, thats good."
I hang up the phone.
"YOur freinds at the V...H... whatever, KGB, said they have a team ready. They'll meet us at thos ebullets trains of yours. It really was smart Idea to keep those running after the cold war. I comend you all."
I get in the car provided by the KGB for Zero and I, and we start driving to the train yard. We arive and get in the train.
Once we are situated, the captain reports to me that his team is ready. The train starts to move; now all we have to do is get there and wait.

Sakari turns around when Cambridge touches his arm, and holds out a gameboy proudly. "Holy cow they're selling black market American products!! I got a gameboy!! (not advance, or color)" Sakari says, holding the giant relic from the 80's. The three men look around, and one of them looks back at Sakari with an ominous look on his face, ignoring what he just said.
"Alright listen, the Russian authorities are checkpointing everything that goes in and out of Chechnya, so you'll have a hell of a time getting in. We could give you a ride if you're willing to give us a little donation." The man says.
"Hey, you still owe me Yev, how about you drive us to Grozny, and we'll call it even?" The man looks around, and is a little disappointed.
"Ah damnit, I can't believe you still remember that... Alright, if you're serious about going, we'll drive you. Then we're even. Deal?"

When he takes my hand my immediate reaction is to pull away some. But I do not shrink away entirely.
"I am most comfortable having an intellectual conversation. Maybe on the importance of roots."
I lean closer now.
"So many radicals want to seperate themselves from their parents, their old values, their old religious beliefs. They want to pull away from tradition. I believe that tradition shaped us into revolutionaries and we can never escape it, but must live at peace with it. It can ground us and teach us. We must honor it like we honor our parents. Tradition gave life to our revolutionary politics" I say in a deep and meaningful voice.

"I don't know about this..." Cambridge whispers to Sakari. Riding with these Russian mafiosos seems equally frightening to meeting terrorists.

Sakari nods.
"No worries, mate." I say, slapping Cambridge on the back. "You got yourself a deal." I tell my old comrades in Russian, and shake their hands. All of us are led up to the outside of the train station, where a big, rusty, black van is waiting for them. They pile in, one at a time, and two of the mafiosos stay behind, while the one is driving.
"They're not coming?" Sakari asks. The driver laughs. "You should be asking me why I agreed to this, not why they didn't want to come." The engine turns, then starts off down the road towards Grozny.

"Onward to Chechnya then." Cambridge says as they depart Russia in the black delivery truck. Sie peeks in the back and sees watermellons and...machine guns.
"Ah Sakari...oh nevermind." Sie doesn't even want to know.

I look around, and become a little uncomfortable. I hope we live through this.

Lemminkainen has a few days off of duty and decides that he should spend some time with Stefanii. Hopefully she hasn't forgotten about him. He gives her a call and leaves her a message that she should call him sometime and maybe they could hang out again. He then heads north to go cross country skiing, waiting patiently for her call on his cell.
