Gabriel arrives in San Fransisco. He checks into his hotel. It is a cheap, run down place with an orange latern hanging in the center of the room, casting its ugly dim light. A Mary left a note for him. It is on the nightstand, tucked neatly in an envelope. He opens the unsealed envelope carefully and takes a look at the message inside.
"So Hearst is gone." He says outloud. He tears up the paper and tosses it away.
He stares out the window for a long time, fixated on the neon sign outside. He considers his options. He didn't come here for nothing. He is shutting this cell down. Once he has done this, he will hunt her, and kill her.
He lays down on the bed, fully clothed, starting at the ceiling. He could be disappointed about the news but is not. He closes his eyes and nods. Yes, this hunt will be more fun than he thought.

"I have to make some calls. If you need me for something, well, you know who I am."
"And if you were serious about dinner, then, sure. I will take you up on your offer."

"Wonderful. I'll see you later then." I leave, and return to my own room where I make some calls both to my family, but also my political contacts. I of course, don't tell my political contacts what I am up to.

I see that Alejos made some flyers, so I take a stack.
"I'll go hang these up at the university." I leave with the stack and walk to the university. It is not very far, and I begin handing them out, and hanging them up as soon as I arrive.

"Heh, Nice name. Let me see one of them pamphlets"
Jose read the Pamplet carefully then smilied when he reached the end.
"Hmm, very good. And so the worker's strike begins I see."
He then watches Soledad take them to the University.
"How many Pamplets you got here Alejos?"

It is now the time of year when I go and work in the city, since fruit production is down. I pack my bags and wait for the bus to take me to Guatemala City. There, I will work for the next few months as a maid.
The work is a lot easier, but I lose my sense of freedom. At least after picking fruit, I can go home to my family and to my own home. But now, I will be stuck in the city, living with a wealthy family, and on call at all times.
Cleaning, laundry, and caring for children are not so hard to do. The hardest thing about this is being away from home.

I am getting a new assignment, this time in Chechnya, so it looks like that for at least the time being, I will be leaving Syria.
I pack my things and my driver picks me up at my hotel. Soon, I am on my way to the airport and ready for a new adventure.

"You should be."
I take a look at my schedule for the next few days and it is clear enough, nothing that can't be canceled or moved to a later date. Mostly P.R. work, and really I don't relate to the public at all.
"All right, I would be glad to help in establishing new laws. Nothing worse than the exploitation of the people by those arrogant power-hungry corporations. When is a good time to meet?"
I smile, I have a good sense of humor. It's amazing.

"Come by my office at 2pm on Tuesday. We can discuss things further then." I reply. I ignore his attitude, since there really is no point in me paying it attention. After dealing with General Kolov, it doesn't phase me.
