Antero takes a shower, then goes out to the living room to watch Niko and Nea play video games. Nea is pretty good.
"Hey that's awesome. You're not bad. You must play video games back home.." He compliments her.

"Well it seems like a waste of money, organizations like yours are very corrupted.... I assume. A company could just pay off your people and do as they please, it's a bit of a waste."
I state, neglecting to mention anything about Sierre Lione.

"That isn't fair. We solicit donations from many groups, but, we do not let that influence our policies. We are very dedicated to monitoring human rights violations."

"Oh of course, you get donations from many different groups. I understand...."
I unintentionally roll my eyes.

"We are not corrupt if that is what you are suggesting."
"Actually as long as I am here, maybe we could discuss Sierre Leone."

"Of course your not... In any case I have a bit of free time, discuss away."
I smile very sure that I can defend our actions.

"You might not be aware of this, but your company recently toppled their government, sent mercenaries in, and now controls the country and its diamond mines. This is a concern to our group."

"As a matter of fact I was not aware of that. I am however aware that we went into the country, and out of the kindness of our own heart got rid of it's corrupted leaders.
The "mercenaries" you speak of are just employee's we sent in to moniter the situation and stop any more selfish men from taking advantage of the country, which really is your job correct?
And as for the diamond mines... The people practically handed them over as thanks for our kind deeds, who are we to refuse these gifts? Africans are mean about that, when people refuse gifts they give. Oh yes."
I say very matter-of-factly. Since in my opinion that really is what happened.

"I have not been there personally. I have been in Chechnya, I would have to travel there to see for myself the sitauation before I can make any judgements one way or the other."
"In any event, it oversteps the boundaries of ethical business practices. I believe it is the task of International government organizations to make such decisions rather than private corporations."

"Who's to say what is and is not ethical? Government organizations? Their more corrupted than anyone. Anyway, I don't believe in government restrictions to business, it just slows everything down."

"Corporations...well, they are out for money. That is why non profit international organizations should have more clout. We would have nothing to gain from the political changes..." I say, not really sure how to respond to him. "If you truly believe in your actions there, then go there with me and show me what you have changed and improved upon."

"Hello Mr. Mandela. We are looking for a host city for the UN Summit on Women's Rights this summer and thought that we would select an African country. Because South Africa has been relatively stable, we are leaning towards Johanesburg as the host city."

"Oh, that would be splendid," he said happily, sitting down next to her. "We would be honored to host the Summit of Women's Rights."

"It would draw more attention to Africa, I believe. It certainly hasn't fallen off of our agenda, but with so many other things going on in the world, we are over stressed." I say of the UN.
