Malik and most of the other DFLP members are captured and in Israel, but when those that were not captured hear that someone has annonymously captured a hostage for them, they are jubilant. A small group of DFLP members heads to the hotel, and though they do not see the person who placed the call, they do find the Russian soldier. They take him to their base of operation in that area, in this case, a nearby basement apartment. They are not sure what to do with him. They shackle him and consider turning him over to a Syrian rebel group. For now, they will watch him while they decide.

"You had me worried there for a moment. I don't know. But it is why I can not be alone with people like Shura. I have been before and just...have this phobia of intimacy."
"I think it comes from how I was raised. My mother never allowed my brother and I to receive kisses or hugs from anyone besides her and father. She was afraid that anyone else would infect us with disease."

Antero shrugs and leaves with his shake. What a strange woman he thinks as he returns to his apartment and enjoys the chocolate shake. Nea and Niko are still playing video games.

"That's right. I love video games, this is how i spent half my free time," nea said appearing to be concentrated on the game.

I shrug my shoulders.
"I'd be more interested in say, setting the sprinkler system off, not burning down an entire hotel." I suggest.

"I see, well, that would probably it. You are scared of it for two reasons it seems. First, you have never experienced it and don't know how to respond, both contiously and subcontiously. Second, you were taught, perhaps subcontiously, that it was wrong, and do not wish to dishonor your teachings."
I sigh, understanding
"It is quite clear, if you think about it."

"Fine. You care too much about laws for your own good." Heikki says with some bitterness.
The walk towards the hotel where Rodney and Salome are staying. Heikki's expression becomes more angry and determined the closer they get.

I slowly wake up, groggy and headachey. I'm surrounded by people who I don't recognize, and immediately begin to panic.
"Ah um, hello..." I say in Russian.

"It's not that I have a respect for laws, it's that I have a respect for human life." I reply, tempted to add 'you jackass' at the end of the sentence but decide against it. I furrough my brow with annoyance at his childish outbursts.

About the time Mischa is waking up, Syrian rebels arrive. They speak for a while with the DFLP and an agreement is made. The Syrians will take the hostage. Since they do not speak Russian, they say nothing. They take shackled soldier and throw him in a truck. They drive him to a nearby village to their own base. There he is locked in a basement room by himself.

"Part of the problem is you keep telling youreself that you can't do it... You have to just keep the attidute that it is nothing more that a stupid subcontious impariment. Just go for it, and don't worry about what you think, worry about what you feel!"
Once again, I am reather frightened by my words.

"This sucks. I just don't believe this. I just don't believe this. How did this happen. Nothing works out for me. Nothing ever works out for me. The only reason I haven't killed myself yet is because I want to live and make other people's lives miserable."Heikki says as they arrive at the hotel.
