(Sorry I've been pretty Lazy this week. What with My dad coming back from Sarajevo and All)
Erich hadn't been in Berlin for a long time. Things came back to him. He went to re-tour his old stomping grounds. His visited his old Neighborhoods, Saw some old friends, and went to old hangout spots.
Now he was hungry. He knew Bassarov and Lysander were here but hey was reminscing right now. He would find them after food.
He walked into one of the old resturants he used to go to. To his surpise there was Bassarov and Lysnader. But with them were two women he had never seen before. He walked over to the table.
"Hey there Bassarov, Lysander got room for one more?"

I’m so amused by all of this I almost feel bad for lying about Sierra Leone, but of course I understand some things are necessary. I’ll just give some old clothes to good will later, that’ll make up for it.

In his plan to take over the Congo Wu has arrived at a Mercenary Camp. The Guards stop his car. He shows that he has an appointment with their leader and they let him through. His car drives until it reaches it's destination then stops. Wu walks out and finds the Mercenary.
The Man's name is Tippu Tip. An unusual name, but what did it matter? He walked up to the man.
"So Mr. Tip. I have seen your place. I heard your some of the best Mercenary's around." Said Wu after shaking Tip's hand
"Well many of these men saw action in the many wars we have had. We agree with the contract and we have received your payment to our account. So what did you hire us for?"
"I hired you to help me in overthrow the current government."
Tippu just gave him a look.
"You don't think it' possible? It is. You won't be fighting alone. I think I have connections in the U.S. government. If I pull a few strings then I can make a U.S. intervention happen.”<br>

"Hello Erich, good to see that you found us." Bassarov says as Erich sits down with them.
He listens to Lysander's story about Chechnya and nods. "So what should I teach you about? Maybe about the different internationals."
"Well socialism started off long ago in the latter half of the 1800s. The first movement in socialism was the 1st International, which still exists today, and is considered the anarchist internationale. It's concern is sweeping away both the state and class system in a single blow. It failed with the Paris Commune incident, which lead to the formation of the 2nd Internationale."
"The 2nd Internationale is the democratic socialist internationale. If you look at Europe in say the year 2000, much of it would have been democratic socialist. That is socialism that seeks to abolish capitalism by a slow process of reform and compromise. They maintain a free market, but are able to provide many of the things socialists strive for such as health care, education, and so on because of high taxes. They even have income caps and key industries are state owned. However, this is not sound Marxist theory, since capitalism can not be reformed away. These countries can provide for the people only so long as they stay out of war and the global economy is good. The 2nd Internationale is said to have failed during WWI, where the socialists of the day lost their sense of internationalism and supported their own countries in their imperialist war."
Bassarov takes a sip of his diet coke before he continues.

"After the failure of the 2nd Internationale, there was the formation of the 3rd Internationale, which became the Stalinist Internationale. This is characterized by the bureaucratization of the party, ideas like socialism in one country, lack of freedom to dissent within the party, and a sort of odd reform socialism that seeks to create a socialist society in stages. This seems mostly a ploy to justify repression and party dictatorship. We can look at Eastern Europe and the former USSR to see the failures of this brand of socialism."
"Finally, there is the 4th Internationale, which all of us here, except you, represent. It was created in 1928 by Leon Trotsky in response to the failures of the 3rd Internationale. It examines the failures of the other internationals and seeks to return to the concepts of Marx that were overlooked or ignored in those failed internationales. Our most basic belief is that capitalism can only be overthrown by international socialist revolution and to that end we organize and educate working people."
"This was a very brief overview of things, but you can look at socialism in 4 major movements just as you can look at feminism in 3 waves." Bassarov explains.

Heikki spends the night at Anora's then gets up early. He writes her a note.
"Thanks for your hospitality, had to go home." -Heikki
He leaves her home and returns to his own apartment. He is pleased that it is clean. He had assumed Dariya and Zivon would have trashed it.

Grey hates to admit it, but he is starting to miss his family and friends. He wishes he could go home for a while and see everyone. The SLA people are nice to him, but sometimes he gets a little homesick. He walks Derek inside and doesn't say a whole lot more to him.

Masha listened, actually jotting a few notes down now and then. They would help her remember in case she forgot anything he told her. She looked up and smiled. She loved to learn more about socialism.
Masha then looked over at the man who had joined them. She gave him a friendly smile. It was the smile she bestowed upon everyone she met. She held her hand out for him to shake.
"Hello, I'm Masha. You must be Erich." Masha remembered Valodya mentioning the name earlier.

Andrew follows Grey.
"Hey, um, I hope you don't mind if I ask, but why so glum?" Andrew asks Grey.
((Wow, I got my own codename confused. Oops.))

"I wonder what else I can explain. There is just so much. I don't even know where to start when explaining things." Bassarov says.
"I suppose I could talk more about the 4th Internationale. An interesting thing is that although we are an internationalist movement, we support the self determination of oppressed nationalities. Thus we often support nationalist movements with the idea that oppressed people should determine their own political destiny, and if they choose socialism, wonderful, if not, that is their choice."

"I'm very happy." Grey replies. He doesn't want to go against the group and say that he misses his home.
"So tell me how you got involved with the SLA."
This was all fun and nice for a while, but now, he finds himself doubting.

"So you don't force your ideas on anyone, believing that they would grow to like socialism?" Masha asked. She believed in socialism (or what she knew of it) but she had thought they forced people to live by their rules at first. She hoped they didn't think she was foolish because of the question.

"Well, I've been fed up with the fascist opressors for a while, and I heard about the SLA from some guy at a sushi place... But to tell you the truth, I'm not sure if joining was such a great idea now, if you know what I mean," Andrew says conspiratorily. The comment is ambiguous enough to either get a telling answer, or if that fails, to cover convincingly.

Though this is the stuff I am intereted in, its is hard for me to follow. He knows i've never been the bright one.
I lean back to Alex and put my arm around her shoulder, with a grin, and continue trying to listen to Bassarov.
