I grab a slice of pizza and listen to everyone talk about the stike. I am quiet.
"This pizza is good. I love pineapple." I say more to myself than the other people in the room.

"Dylan is the leader of the American Green Party now." (I think that was the election you won, if not, correct me)
I don't notice that she called Dylan a him.

Alex shakes his head. "Pineapples & pizza is sacrelige," he says only half joking. He orders a soda which shows up a few minutes later.
"So, how do you like Brazil, Soledad?"

"So the Russian soldier was rescued?"
"Yes Aisha, a bunch of rebels died in the process."
"That's really too bad, but at least he is safe."
"You were worried?"
"Maybe, but let's not discuss this. How about coffee. I think it would be good if we could get in contact with the Syrian president. I heard he is still in the country."

"Oh? Well that's cool, congratulations." I say. I may not agree with the Green Party's politics, but I have no gripe with any of their members. I turn to the newcomer. "Well I just met Dylan here a few minutes ago. I'm Cris Mason, you are?"

"I like it, but I am not sure if all of us are needed here. Maybe I will go to Guatemala if it doesn't look like I am needed here."
I eat my pizza and grab a pepsi.

"I wouldn't worry about that," he says before sipping his soda. "Brazil is about to become a very hectic place. Massive strikes, guerilla fighting(as much as I hate that it's coming this soon), military and mafia action against us... we're gonna need everyone we can get to help keep morale at it's highest and keep order within the inner-rankings of the movement. The last thing we need is an opportunist spy siezing power."

"Then I will stay, but I do miss Julia and my home."
Maybe I just wasn't cut out of politics I think to myself.

"I know what you mean," Alejos says with a sigh. "I miss my home in Texas... my brothers... my family... I even miss my drill sergeant... kind of... sort of... ok, not really." It wasn't that funny, but he still felt like laughing at that and he did.

"Nice to meet you too. Well I'll admit right now I don't get out much and have never talked to someone from your country before. So, what's it like in Finland?"

"I really love Finland. The trees and lakes. The culture, language, and history. I am very proud of my country." I say with a smile.
"And what about you? Where in the U.S. are you from?"

"I feel a little lost. I don't really know how to help or what to do."
"But I will keep positive about this. At least I get to meet interesting people."

"You shouldn't feel lost," he said. "If you need help with anything I'll be more than glad to help you."

"That's okay. I am sure I can figure out something.
I smile and try not to look down.
"If there is going to be a big stike, I could go to the universities and tell the students to have a walk out. That might be useful. What do you think?"
