Bassarov sits down and thinks for a moment. "I am most at home with my comrades, so I can't say that I miss my home and family so much. I am not myself when I am there. But I love Russia and my family."
"I am really not alone that often, so I don't have much time to think about missing people and things."
"Which reminds me, tomorrow Selja will be here. What a nightmare. I think she is a great woman, but she is emotionally needy and although I have explained that I don't love her, she insists that she loves me and will follow me anywhere."

Masha took a seat too and listened to him. She tried to hide the smile on her face, since she didn't want to be rude. Some guys would like that, but it could be some guys living hell. Masha told herself that.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could help, but I doubt I could be much of a help. I'd probably just muck everything up if I did try and help." Masha gave him a 'I'm sorry' type of smile. She had never had the problem he was having.
"Have you tried throwing someone in front of you, so to speak." Masha was just joking, but she then blushed a little. It was terrible for her to say that about someone she didn't know. She just thought it was funny at the moment.

I smile in return and follow her out the door, a little excited.
"I've seen some of her stuff before, but I've never met her... That's so cool that you work for a local artist. What's she like?" I ask, still excited.

"Like a human shield, but a human shield against an unhealthy relationship?" He asks, not sure if that is such a good idea.
"Maybe if she saw me with someone else, even if I wasn't really with that person, she might move on. I hate to hurt her feelings but she doesn't really understand. She is...a vert dependant woman, and although I think she is nice and don't mind being her friend, I am having a hard time dealing with this." He replies, hinting at something.
"All she does is cry and pine for me. I feel trapped. I feel horrible. It messes things up, since out of pitty or guilt I try to make her feel better, and likely only end up confusing her."

"I think it's called... 'Shit'." Marty replies about the music, just as the song dies down, and everyone at the bar can hear him. He sits down on a stool and orders a White Russian.
"So what do you all think about the fascists trying to take over the city?" Marty asks vaguely to whoever will listen. Nobody replies.
Marty takes a swig.

Linnea is so nice, very pretty and very talented. She has a few unique qualities about her, but I can't yet place my finger on them. She is truely interesting." Nea smiled. "I think you'll like her." They walked down the street and finally up the few stair to the front of Linnea's gallery. She opened the door and saw the gallery is empty. "Looks like a slow day," Nea said over her shoulder to Niko. "Linnea must be in the back."
They walked across the show floor and through a door. "She's not here. I wonder why." Nea looked around a bit more, "She might be upstairs in ehr aparment." They walked through another door in the back room and stepped outside. Heading up some metal stairs, they soon came to a door, Nea brought her ahdn up and knocked on the glass.

"This reminds me of the time we had that huge orgy before our national convention...but without the sex, sparticists, and opium." He says louder.
"Oh wait, this is nothing like that, nevermind."

I smile. She's really pretty...
"Ah, um, hi there, yeah I'm Niko. Nice to meet you Linnea! I mean, I've never really met an artist before, and I think it's really cool." I say, extending my hand for her to shake.

Nea looked at Niko, she would let the artist comment slide for right now, but the look on his face was kinda weird.

"I think this reminds me more of the time the white army marched on the Soviet Union after its conception." Marty replies, already finishing one drink, and orders another.

"Are you asking me to be your make believe girlfriend, Valodya?" Masha asked, pretty sure of the answer. She would do it for him, since she owed him. He just taught her a lot of stuff. She gave him a smile.

"It's also nice to meet you," Linnea shakes Niko's hand and smiles. "Yeah I think being an artist is cool too." Linnea looked at Nea. "Nea I was wondering if you could help me out. I was trying to work on a painting but I have no ideas. I can't find inspiration for today, my muse is gone. Do you have any ideas? If not I can save it for another day."

"I'm bored. Let's leave this place and find some fellow socialists. I am in the mood to shepherd the lost sheep of socialism."
