"Thanks." I say, then look through her apartment, making sure not to touch anything. I stop at one that's a clearing in the forest, and an eagle is flying in the distance.
"I like this one... The eagle is a sign of good luck in Ojibwe." I say, smiling.

Bassarov puts his jacket on, and heads out the door with her. "Well, I'm not used to it. I don't meet many people who refrain from swearing. It's...endearing."
"Not that I swear that often or anything. It just reminds me of the youth group my protestant friend took me too. They didn't swear either. But they were terribly judgemental of me."

"You guys just make this too easy." Marty says, as the guy doesn't pay much attention.
"So did your parents kick you out of the house?" The man draws a knife. "Fuck off." He says, glaring at Marty and Glen. Marty nods his head, turns around, and starts to walk away.

"really? I didn't know that," she turned and stepped closer to Niko and the painting rexaming it. "That is very interesting. This one is one of my favorites."

"Yes, I didn't expect armed resistance from our little anarchist friend." Glen says to Marty as they walk away.
"Should we go back to the hotel?"

I smile.
"Yeah, it's our good luck charm..." I say, then cross my arms and nod my head. "The use of color in this is great..." I say, not really sure how else to compliment the painting, seeing as how I'm pretty artistically inept.

"It's Krondstat all over again... Yeah let's go back." Marty replies, feeling somewhat depressed, and already bored with the evening.

"Thank you," Linnea smiled. "I like this one because of the represantion. The peaceful ness of nature, sometimes I really wish I could live in the forest or a wooded area. I really love it." Linnea breifly closed her eyes and smiled. Opening her eyes she folded her arms over her chest. "Thank you for telling me about the eagle, it brings more meaning to the piece."

"Don't worry Marty. How about some tea, unless you think tea is too petty burgeoise. Maybe warmed water then. Let's go back for warmed water." Glen suggests.

"Then I hope I don't remind you of them too much. And I think fudge is a wonderful word." Masha laughed. She didn't really mind. She smiled as they walked along.
"So, tell me aout your friend. She won't hurt me or anything, will she?" Masha asked, thinking that she should have before. She didn't want to be attacked for being something she wasnt.

"She is a good girl. Kind and a bit traditional. I think she is a little too attached to men, but she is actually bisexual. She was seeing a girl for a while, but, she is pretty convinced that she loves me and wants to follow me around the world."
"I don't want to hurt her feelings, and she isn't beligerant. But I think she might cry if she sees us together."
"Maybe...you could talk to her. I think she needs more female friends. It is unhealthy for a woman to define herself by having a relationship or a man."

I smile again, and nod politely. She makes me feel a little self conscious.
"Yeah no problem. I grew up on a farm near the wilderness, and like to walk through the woods that surround our land. It's very peaceful and spiritual."

"I wouldn't mind doing that. Lord knows I need friends, too. Maybe, when she shows up, I'll take her out to lunch or something." Masha suggested. She agreed with Valodya. A woman shouldn't live for a man, she should live for herself. Masha knew she would always be independent before she decided to even consider leaning on a man. But that was just her and she knew a lot of women thought differently.
"Actually, I might enjoy talking with her." Masha added with a smile.

"She's a Christian. A lutheran I think. So at least you have that in common." He says as they walk. They are walking rather slowly and will likely be late, but he doesn't mind.
"You know, you're pretty cool." He says randomly.
