"I don't know of any that are free or alive. The military came in and bombed our main compound in Texas. They bombed it! They must have killed...200 people. Women, children, anyone who was staying there. I am only alive because I had gone into hiding before the bombing. I don't think there's anyone alive who can tell you about HOLY or the things we did."
I think about it.
"I talked to some guy from the FBI. He questioned me already. There's nobody left. We all had fake names anyway, so that wouldn't help. But I worked with Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John."
"The government killed my friends. People I cared about. The...bombed our compound." I repeat. I am still shaken up about this. It disturbs me. It is wrong what they did.
"If they want murderers, they should look to themselves. I didn't do anything they don't do." I say bitterly.

Keitoleinen returns to his room. He decides that now that his business is done, he should leave soon. He begins packing his things, but, becomes weary from the heat and decides instead to take a nap. The heat saps all his energy. He will be glad to return to Finland where the climate is tolerable.

When I get to the Venezuelan border I am told that I can not pass. There has been a flu outbreak there and they don't want it to spread to Brazil.
"But my friends are there." I try to explain to them.
They won't listen and I am turned away. I take the train back to Brazilia, but by the time I arrive, I start feeling feverish.
"Don't tell me that I am sick." There have been many cases of the flu in Brazil, but it is not yet an epidemic there. I shrug it off and figure with rest I will feel better later.

I try my best to recover from the injurry I sustained from the police station bombing. I think about Mischa and wonder what he is up to.
"He's probably forgotten about me." I say to myself.
I smile and look over all all my flowers and cards. I hope I get better soon so I can return to work.

Vance catches wind of the newest plot of the CIA and Homeland Security. He is pleased with the news. Bombing London would be a good way to shore up support in their many campaigns against terrorism abroad. The liberal government there has been slowly distancing itself from America. Recent terrorism in Finland seemed to do the trick, so this should work as well. He keeps his ears peeled for new information on this plot. Though, it should be executed with caution since it would reflect badly on the United States if the plot was discovered.

The young lawyer straightened up, and sighed. "Very well, then," he said. "Could you, by any chance, told the government the members of HOLY? We could plead innocent on the credibility of the witness."

I'll be right back. Kat went to see what the hold up was with Dimi. She found him in his kitchen, whispering quickly in Spanish. He spotted her after he got off the phone and told her the bad news. She rushed back into the room, looking very much afraid. We've got to go. Now! They just shot some of the socialist.

I am not sure that I want to tell the government about HOLY or work with them at all. I think about it.
"I can tell them whatever they want to know. It won't save them. God's judgement is upon this nation." I reply.
"I can tell you who worked for HOLY, though the names might not be their true ones. We all take new names when we join the organization. I can tell you what we were planning..and that, we were getting money from certain people within the government. I think the Department of Defense. The FBI also used us against other groups. They sent us after the revived SLA, a bunch of communist nuts or something like that, who wanted to create some Symbiotic nation of equals. Anyway, the FBI used our operatives to attack SLA members, and after the SLA was crushed, they turned on us."
"So, it isn't like the government doesn't know about us. They should know all about us...we helped them out, and they helped us."

"Okay, I'm ready. Let's just get out of here." Bassarov replies in a panic. He is shaky and operating off of adrenaline. All of this seems so wrong and surreal. He doesn't have time to feel sad for the loss of the slain comrades.

Dimi leads them down the back staircases to a miniature white bus with the words 'Tour Group' painted on the sides. He says if anyone ask, we are a tour group going to Guyana. He also says get comfortable because we aren't stopping for a while. That said, Kat climbs into the back and heads for the back of the bus.

He nodded thoughtfully at Martha's repsonse.
"Luckily, the law is a completely seperate branch from the government. If you give the courts the information you just gave me, it might be enough to save you. Particularily the information about who was in HOLY. In any case, we will need a backup plan. Do you have any qualms against pleading insanity?"

Bassarov sits in the middle row and looks out the window nervously. He stares out at the streets of Caracas one last time. Things just happened so quickly. Overnight the capitalists took power and death looms in the wake of their ascent. It is hard to have hope. Things were going so well, then, with a sudden turn the country falls apart.
He looks at the people, they look sick and weary, beaten down with shadowy faces kept downward.
He doesn't say anything as they drive off.
"I would like to go back to Russia...for a while." He says to himself.
