Vance and President Hayward check in at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire. The recent terrorist attacks all over the world nearly forced them to pull out of the summit, but since it is vitally important, President Hayward issued a few statements about how it is even more important to fight terror in every corner of the globe. He also says that his prayers are with the victims of the attacks and that the military will expand its efforts to eradicate terrorism in the upcoming months. The two talk privately about what happened and are terribly shaken by it all. But the show must go on as they say, so, they will participate in the summit.

Bassarov leaves the cafe and returns to the hospital where Katrina and Lysander are staying. They are both sleeping when he arrives. He sits there a while, waiting for them to stir, but when they do not, he leaves a note to indicate that he had stopped by. He then goes off for a walk by himself. He has had a lot on his mind lately. The startling things that Seiji told him about Rei do not settle well with him. He thinks also of Henna, as well as the things that Sonja told him. He walks past the Kremlin towards the hotel his is staying at. He threads his way through crowds of tourists lined up to see Lenin's body. He sighs and returns to his room.

After finishing typing in my journal, I turn off the tv and began surfing on the net. I really do wanted to help people but they might say that I am in the way. Then something across my mind. Instead of helping people in person, I would help them online. i began searching the bombings in Paris and began searching.

I tell Cambridge that I will be going with hir to the summit, so I don't bother unpacking at hir suggestion. I make a quick meal for all of us, and spend the rest of the evening working on my article.

Kaschei enjoys a pleasant dinner with his wife and goes upstairs to his study to do some reading. He pulls one of his many ancient books off the dusty shelf and sits down to read. He thinks about Aleksandra. She seemed glad for what he did for her. This will help build their relationship, he hopes. If not, they will have to take more drastic measures against her enemies.

"It's time to go. So those who want to come, nows the time. I am sure there are thousands of them there already." Cambridge snaps at everyone. Hir temper has been a little short lately. Sie crosses hir arms and waits by the door. Sie isn't sure if Selja or Ilmari will be going.

"Okay." I say as I gather the last of my stuff and walk up. I at least am excited about this trip, it's a look at how the current world government really works.

"I am afraid that I will not be able to come along, Cambridge. I have to return to Helsinki soon, my mother needs me and so does the shop." He replies to hir. He returns to his room to continue packing for his own trip.

I look at Cambridge, and then to Ilmari, and ask him "Oh.. Do you want me to stay here with you?"

"We can go then." Sie replies and heads out the door. They do not live far from the train station and in no time are boarded and on their way to Scotland.
"Too bad about what happened in New York. I've been too busy that I don't have all the details on that one." Sie replies.
"But it really is too bad."

"I don't mind." Ilmari replies. He really doesn't care one way or the other. Such is his mildly apathetic nature.

Helene returns to the room with a bag full of books. She always collects books from different countries when she travels. I think I'll have to buy another suitcase... What wrong, Bassarov?

"I'd imagine." I say, since I just heard the brief report. "That's not going to go down too well in the international community."

"It's a scary world we're living in. I don't know all the details. The news was strangely tight lipped about the whole thing. It kind of makes me worry more." Sie says and looks out the window.

"I'm sure... They leave us all wondering, so we don't know just how bad it really is. I mean they may be trying to prevent a panic, but I don't think it'll work."
