"Valodya never told me about your mother. I figured she was a socialist... Most of his interests are." I say. I figure for now I won't bring up that I am Bassarov's lover, it might confuse Valo.

"Her name was Henna. She died when I was very young. I did write a history book about her. In some ways she was more significant in the revolution than my father..." He says, and pauses. He invites Zero inside and lets her have a seat on the couch.
"So, you are a rebel? And work with Valodya?" He asks.

"Yes, I work with him. I help him with the nonpolitical parts of his group." I explain as I sit down.

"I am a nihilist, and haven't been involved with the rebel movement. I just do my history books and try to stay alive." He replies. He wouldn't want to put himself into dangering by being part of the rebellion. "I spend a lot of time hiding and avoiding people. I think if Red Infinity knew who I was they would send me to the Ministry of Terror simply because of my parentage."

"Well they've tried to kill some of us before. Myself and others have stopped them, but I don't remember how or when. Just that we did. Still, I came here to find out if you had any better idea of what was going on than we did."

"I can't say that I do..." Valo says regretfully. "But if you would like to borrow some books, go ahead and take them." He states. He hands her a few books on Red Infinity officials. "The one on Kaschei is interesting. You would never know but he was once the head of the Russian mafia. He also had a wife who mysteriously disappeared. A Very interesting read." He recomends. He hands her some other books as well.

I am soon carrying a stack of books half my own height. "Okay... I think this'll keep me occupied for awhile. Thanks again." I say to him.

"Yes, well...don't be a stranger. And tell.. Bassarov that I say hello." Valo states as Rei goes. He watches her leave and returns to his writing.

"I'll be sure to do that. Again, thanks. I'm sure I'll see you again." I say, before I leave. I take the books back to my office in the old subway, where I sit down and open the biography on Kasechi...

Kaze wakes up on the floor of some room in a subway station. "My head," she puts her hand to her temple as she starts to sit up. "What the hell?" She is confused, not sure what is going on and her feels like somebody just stomped on her whole body. "Where am I?" She gets up off the floor and walks outside the room, she looks down the tunnel and sees stairs leading above ground, on the wall there is an unfinished mural that seems to pay some sort of homage to people. Since she has an eye for art Kaze stops and looks at the mural. "I reconize..." she thinks for a moment and the name comes to her mind. "Bassarov?" Still her memory is hazy and still ponders for a second, she doesn't reconize the others there. Looking toward the stairs again she hesitates but then goes up to see what the surface may hold. At first the light was bright, but when she adjusted she found that the world above was as dark as the world below. "This place is a dump," Kaze said in a depressing tone of voice. Sighing she started down the street. "The only name I remember is Bassarov, I wonder what happened and where he might be."

Ukko has distanced himself from Lady Violet and Lin Sat lately. He asked Lin Sat if he could take a vacation. After all, he had worked non stop for decades in one way or another. This was granted to him, and so he took two months of leave. He wanted to do some traveling to understand the state of things in the world.
So, his first stop was Helsinki to examine the rebel movement there.

I return to my office in Beijing after a long talk with Kaschei. It seems that no one suspects anything, which is a relief. I have too many other things to worry about than another scandal involving my personal life.
Kaschei is keeping tight lipped about things, and I am glad he was willing to help me. I am sure he gained from this as well, since I suspect that he spent that time training.
But, I don't worry about that. Instead, I start on the large stack of reports sitting on my desk. Maybe the one constant in this world is that my work never ends.

Ilmari closes up shop for the day. The floral shop is not his own. It is actually a state run shop. But, he still works there and is the main florist working at the Helsinki shop. He is a bit frustrated at times, because there are always shortages of flowers. By the end of the day, most of his inventory is wiped out.
He heads back to his Helsinki apartment, and thinks about the past a little. For some reason, he has been thinking about Selja lately, even though she is long dead.

Bassarov wakes up early the next day and decides that he is going to search Helsinki for other rebels. Though, since he has a hard time remembering where anyone lives, this will be a difficult task. He walks down the street, hoping to bump into someone.

Kaze walks down the street and looks up to see one of the few people on the street. "B-b-bassarov?" Kaze askes in disbelief.
