Valodya Bassarov! Though in a state of semi-amnesia from the time freeze, the name of this man was far from lost in her mind. So, this was the son of Bassarov, some ill sired child from some other woman, which was just like the man Bassarov, always flitting from lover to lover (though Kaieka couldn't make too big of a deal of this, since she had had her share of illicit encounters during her time). The familiarity in his eyes now seemed a little more rational. Suddenly, she now thought of not just dinner but of finding ways to use this boy to get into the life of Valodya Bassarov once more. Her pulse sped up again.
"Where are you headed, back home? I could help you carry those books, no use in both of us walking together but only you carrying the load."
She put a genuine smile on her face.

Yeah, he's gotten out of worse, usually because he had my help... Why are you acting like this, you love him too... I think to myself. "That's actually why I came to you. I just know he's missing. I was wondering if you had any idea who took him, since you were the last to see him."

"I am really quite tired from all of this, Mr. Hatter. You did a good job beating me up and my body needs to recover. I regret that I need some more rest. Talk to you later." Bassarov replies and falls asleep in his cage.

"I appreciate that.." Valo says and hands her some of the books. Now that his load is lighter, it is easier for him to see, and he walks a bit faster. "Tell me about yourself."

I run my hand through my hair, the one with the cigarette on the end of it.
"No... Sorry... I woke up, and he was gone... I'm out looking but I don't even know where to begin..." I say, this time more serious.
"Someone was at the door, though I didn't see or hear that well what happened..."

Kaieka doesn't much like talking about herself, she shifts the books a bit to make them work better and chooses carefully what she will tell this boy about herself.
"Well, my name is Kaieka. I grew up in Russia. I like the color red... and I once took up knitting but wasn't very good at it."
Figuring that would be enough, she tries to switch the conversation off of herself.
"So, you like to read. You're a historian. You're not much into politics, I presume. Do you do anything besides read during your spare time?"

The Hatter put down his tea cup and looked at him. "Hmph, a fault on my behalf. We'll talk later...." he continued to sip his tea as Bassarov fell asleep. *So many riddles surround this man. Who is this Cheshire Cat? I'll find out sooner or later, but it'll have to wait. When he wakes up we'll have to discuss more important matters....* thought the Hatter as we sat vigil sipping his tea.

"Well I can look... at the usual places." I say, not perticularly caring to visit the ministry of terror again. "I'll get him back. It shouldn't take too long..."

Destiny blushes. "Why thank you. When we fight someone else I want to see all your cool moves! Maybe you can teach me some?" she said tilting her head as they looked for Hope and Zero.

"I read, write, hide out from Red Infinity. I am interested in nihilism, but not involved with any other nihilists. I suppose I lead a boring life." Valo replies as they walk. He won't press Kaieka for any details about her life, since she seems kind of private. After a few more blocks of walking, they arrive at his apartment. "Would you like to come inside? I could show you some of the books I wrote."

I scratch my head, and look down the street. Kaieka and the other one carrying the books seem to be walking further out of sight... I take a sigh of relief.
"Alright, well I don't know where you'd look... But I'll give you a hand."

He laughed and then returned to the cool talk he had before.
"I possibly could. It would be something to add to your moves I'm sure. But right now we are looking for your aquintances."

Kaieka was hoping for just such an invitation. She was also glad that she didn't have to go into any more details on her life. It usually dampened the mood when she told people of her occupation or hobbies, or eating habits for that matter.
"Why yes, I'd love to step inside. It is a bit cold out this evening."
The truth is that Kaieka always felt cold. There was never warmth in her lifeless veins.
She smiled and followed him inside. Books... bah! Like father, like son.

"Okay, thank you. Everyone in Red Infinity seems to want a piece of him, which means we have a long list... We should probaly start at the Ministry of Terror... Even though I'm sure you want to go there about as much as I do..."
