"Whooah...damn, maybe we need to call an ambulance for that other car."

Alex looked back at the Renault spun out on the road. He will be just fine. They kept cruising down the road.

"That was kind of fun. Let's drive badly and knock other people off the road. It will be a game, except everyone else is the loser."

I had dozed off shortly after Bassarov left, and I reawaken with a start. "Oh, sorry... How long was I asleep?"

"Oh not so long. You didn't miss out on much." Bassarov replies to her. He thinks of what Sakari said earlier and rues the idea of sending her away. It just seems unfair.

Cynthia sets her bowl of cereal on the ground, and stands up, leaving the television on, which was on the discovery channel, a show about the mating rituals of hyenas. She always makes herself at home, and so far has made as big of a mess as she could have with what little resources she had. "I'd kill for a cigarette, and it looks like your owl thing would kill me if I had one. Let's go now, before it starts to get dark out. And I'm going to Great Falls Montana, there aren't really any roads that go directly there from here, so we're probably going to have to take a roundabout way of getting there." Cynthia puts on her socks which were casually thrown on the floor.

Cambridge finally gets the nerve to go up and sit near the other socialists. Sie has been sitting in the back all of this time taking notes, but now feel anxious and out of place back there. Sie approaches Selja and Bassarov and cautiously introduces hirself.
"Hello, I am here representing the World Socialist Movement. You don't mind if I sit here, do you?" Sie asks them shyly.

"Well that's good at least. This is complicated enough without missing anything." I adjust myself into a slightly less comfortable sitting position, mostly so I don't fall asleep again.
I look to Bassarov. "It's fine with me, if it's fine with you..."

"The World Socialist Movement? Sure, you can sit here. I didn't think that your party did anything beside sell books, upkeep a website, and educationals from time to time." Bassarov responds to Cambridge.

"By all means, have a seat." Sakari says to the newcomer. This person seemed absolutely fascinating, and Sakari had never really met such a gender neutral person before.
"Have you come as an observer?"

"Listen mister...my party does things, we just don't believe that revolution can be forced. It is something natural that must spring naturally from the masses. When the time comes the time comes. I do not believe in a vangaurd party. But we can talk about this later."
Sie is slightly disgusted by Bassarov and sits down next to Sakari. "I am an intern for The Left Turn. They sent me here to cover the convention."

"It would be fascinating to hear your position on things, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've never met a real WSM person before." Sakari says, keeping out the point about the WSM being too small to have enough members to go around that he would bump into regardless.

"We maybe small, but we carry on the true and untainted traditions of socialism." Cambridge replies to Sakari. "But I would be glad to have a discussion with a Trotskyist."

I am tempted to ask Bassarov out for coffee right now, but I hold off. Even if I do find these revolutionary politics disturbing I know they are Bassarov's life, and I respect that.
"No, it's okay. I'll stay and listen." I say, but both of us know why I am really here. WHen most of my friends were interested in soccer jocks I was interested in this skinny, outspoken young man, a fact that caused me near endless ridecule.
