Here is the next thread. Mike wasn't around to make up another thread name based off a song, so I got to make up the thread name.

"You're sister seems nice." Bassarov replies, not feeling like talking about the Green Party or environmentalists. He does care about the environment, but figures that it will change for the better once workers take control of things.

"I don't see why you can't worry about both," Alejos says to Selja. "I find time to worry about both causes and promote them both as well. I don't see why you have to pick a stance and support it and only it..."
He turns to Sofia. "That's why we're not supporting violent revolution. Sure, there's some guerilla fighers who are kinda... well, not really standing with the party, but they are a minority. I hope we can accomplish Socialism in Brazil without violent insurrection."
He decides not to touch the all life is equal stance, since he loves his meat. Burritos, bacon, steak, burgers... he loves it all.

It is naive to think that the revolution would not be bloody. The capitalists would not just hand over their factories and government.I say as I eat another orange.

"She is, she just takes some getting used to... Okay, a lot of getting used to. She isn't one of those 'meat is murder' types, but she won't eat anything that was killed, plant or animal. Personally I think it's silly, but she's entitled to her opinion." I say, resisting the temptation to cling to Bassarov.

(To Masha) Bassarov remembers Masha, and quickly runs back into the cafe. "Sorry, I am going to hang out with Selja for a bit. I've been kind of cruel to her lately. We can hang out tomorrow after the rally if you like. Talk to you later!" He says, feeling bad that he totally forgot about her. She was being pretty quiet.
He returns to Selja and continues the conversation.
"Some people do that for religious reasons or because they are ardent pacifists."

"Gandhi got the British out of India without armed revolt," Alejos said. "Yes a history of revolutions have been bloody, but civil disobediance has worked before and I hope it shall work again.
"Besides, I use the word hope since I know it will probably come down to storming the dictator's--sorry, President's office and deposing him at gunpoint."

Revolution is a dangerous thing. It can go many ways. You might just make the world worse you know. I don't think it is worth the risk when things can still be reformed peacefully.

"What happened in places like Cuba and Russia and China, Mongolia... all said revolutions were rushed. They were rushed and lead by opportunists. Well, ok so the Russian Revolution was led by a true Marxist, but an opportunist took power.
"Also, I believe I already touched on the point that we're trying to do things peacefully, but are keeping armed insurrection open as a last resort, last ditch, we're screwed unless we defend ourselves effort."

Just because you try to be peaceful does not mean it will go that way. World revolution against those with power and money isn't a cake walk. I just am saying, more like than not, it will be violent, and I think deep down you know that.

"Well she says it has something to do with being one with nature, but I was told in biology that by nature humans are the top predator in most natural ecosystems, and that we're omnivores. Well I don't know, more power to her I guess."

"I already said that," Alejos pointed out. "You just said what I said, but made it seem like something you said so that I'd think you said it..."

"I just like...eating a variety of food." Bassarov says with a shrug. He doesn't eat meat, but eating only fruit seems a little limited. But he doesn't judge people, nor does he feel that there is a proper way to express your humaness. If some humans think eating fruit is the way to go, more power to them. "Did you have a nice time with Masha?"

"Well fairly so, we didn't talk that much but what we did say was pleasant. I... I'm sorry if I've been a bit imposing on you." I say. I had planned to tell him a lie that would almost guarintee me more attention, but now I'm having second thoughts about it... But just because I don't say it now doesn't mean I can't later...
