"I didn't mean it like that. Maybe some of my morals seem a little conservative to you, but I am not a judgemental person." I move to the window and look out at the city. "I just value loyalty. I do. Which is why even though I am alone and wouldn't have minded trying things with you, I refused to."

I can see that Niilo looks bored. "Well I don't know... Like I said I can try to help you when I have the time... Just what is it that you need help with anyways?"

"Okay, hey thanks. Seeya later." I say as she leaves. I turn to Cambridge. "So what do you want to do now? There's a lot to see in Helsinki, if you're interested."

"I just want you to keep an eye on things. I want to know what goes on in your party. It interests me. All I really want is information. Information about other socialists. Information about people in general. I like to know what goes on in this world, so it is useful for me to have eyes in different places."
"Otherwise, I am still deciding how else you can help me." Niilo replies.

I leave my apartment and head to yoga classes. This is so wonderful! I am so glad to have my sister back in Helsinki. We'll have so much fun together.

"I don't know if I want to live on that commune with a bunch of nutty hippies, but we can give it a whirl." Cambridge says to Selja after her sister leaves.
"Communal living might be a good experience for me. So who knows. We can give it a try. At least I can say I tried it."

I feel somewhat patronized by his comment, though I don't show it. "Well we encourage social and cultural changes, but discourage premature revolution. Changes have to happen at their own pace or they can cause more problems then they solve."

"I agree, but when change is happening you can't be neutral about it. You must take action, rather than passively wait for the right conditions. There may never be the right conditions, and while you are waiting, people will continue to suffer."

"Yeah, there's no reason we can't try it. I have a hard time understanding my sister sometimes, like what she really sees in this enviromentalist stuff. I can understand socialist motivations, since it's all about what's best for the people..."

"The people create their own positive conditions. It's more a matter of you can't adgitate revoltion without inerantly betraying it. Too many personal motivations get tied up in it, that's what went wrong in the 20th century."

"The environment is important too. But I think it comes as a package deal with socialism. We attach environmental destruction with capitalism."

"Well I guess..." I say. "I'm really not that good with politics, you have to understand. All I know I learned to please... Vossya..." I say, and have to stop to dry my eyes.

"We don't have to talk politics if you don't want to. Let's just go for a walk."

"Yeah, let's..." I say, and we walk out. I am feeling more than a little jittery between my emotions and the fact that I haven't had a cigarette for almost two days. "I'm starting to think of Vossya less often, but it's still hard... I did love him..."

"I understand. I thought the same thing about Sakari. I guess I was a little too attached to him."
