1. You can not use cartoon images as an avatar.
If you need help finding or drawing an avatar, ask a moderator or admin for help. You can use realistic looking drawings and CGI, photos, or paintings for your avatar.
2. This is a realistic rpg, but we do allow fantasy characters. We like to keep the ratio at 1 in 5 characters is a fantasy race. Please see the fantasy rules for more details
3. Your character must be as realistic as possible. If anything, base the character off of yourself to make it more realistic. This means that people such as supernatural experts, samurai, wandering warriors, professional fighters, etc. are allowed on limited basis. Please stick to professions such as politician, diplomat, student, soldier, journalist, teacher, writer, and so on.
4. Your name must match your ethnicity. If you are Russian for instance, you can not be named Bob Smith.
5. Please use a text color that we can read. Dark colored texts don't show up very well, so please avoid them.
6. If a character is idle for an extended period of time, then other characters who are interacting with him/her can move the idle character around. This is more or less a common sense thing, but having characters in posting limbo is a bigger deal here when you don't have teleportation powers.
7. You can not play as a purely evil or purely good character. If your character is purely evil, these actions must be justified by a mental illness. This is not to demonize mental illness, but to humanize characters and to make their behaviors appear treatable or at least medical. There are no "evil" people in this game.
The same goes for purely good people. All people have a vice or short coming. A purely good person may be good, but naive, short sighted, or easily manipulated.
8. There is a ton of information in the information section, so feel free to check that out when making your character.
9. If you opt to play a premade character, please stick the the prewritten character details and pictures. If you pick a character, it is important that you stick to that character's personality! For example, if you pick an abusive and alcoholic character, you should play him accordingly. It is highly doubtful that such a character would go shopping and eat cake with a group of sophisticated women.
10. ONLY ADMIN can post under accepted applications. User posts will only confuse and deter prospective members.
