I shut the door and immediately go to my laptop. A few contacts must be made and things must be set in place. I'm fairly sure I know what the girl was talking about, and I need to ensure that if they come for me, it will come back and bite them on the ass tenfold.

"Oh." I say, understanding. "Well I';m not sure if there's anything you can really do about it..."

Cambridge becomes a little sad and frustrated with that comment. "Sure I can. I can diet. I can keep in good shape. I can wear androgynous clothes. I can... Don't tell me that there is nothing I can do. I don't have a choice here." Sie drinks the rest of her water and excuses herself. Sie walks out of the cafe in a hurry, almost running. Sie isn't sure where sie will go, but sie feels upset inside. "I am not a woman. I am not a woman. I don't have to be anything I don't want to be."

Bassarov enters the cafe just as Cambridge is leaving. He takes a seat with Selja and orders a diet coke for himself. "The internal discussion is going well. Sorry to have sent you away." He says to Selja as he looks over the menu.

Sakari walks down the street with a little notebook in his hand, writing down some notes that would make sense only to him, and runs into Cambridge, dropping his pen and notebook on the ground.
"Oh hey, sorry, you okay?" I ask, picking up my pen and notebook.

"Oh...yeah...hey. I am fine. I just felt like running a little. I should change my clothes for it though. It is a good day for a run." Sie replies anxiously.

"Suit yourself. Probably wouldn't look too good on your resume." Cynthia says, staring out the window. The drive is somewhat hypnotic, and she's been zoning in and out.

"Oh cool, would you mind if I joined you? I haven't gone for a jog in awhile."

Peter is silent for awhile, simply driving. The road is rather empty. Still earily in the day, most of the work traffic hasn't started yet.
"You mentioned a reservation. You Indian?"

"I guess that is fine. I haven't been running as much as I should. I used to be obsessed over it. I would actually run to Cross Country practice. So I would run two miles to school then seven miles for practice. I wish I was in that kind of shape again."

"Why, are you a cowboy?" Cynthia asks in an annoyed tone of voice. She immediately feels guilty afterwards. "Sorry. Yeah I'm half Ojibwe."

Sakari blinks. He was considering 'around the block'.
"Well, that's admirable... I remember in my phy ed class, my pace was slightly slower than that of the fat kid, and the wheelchair kid." I say, in a somewhat consoling tone of voice. "At least we don't smoke, eh?"

Cambridge laughs a little, then sie realizes that he is serious. "Ah...oh, well, you don't look like you would be bad at running. Maybe you just need practice." They head back to the hotel and sie changes into some black shorts and a gray fleece turtleneck. Sie is wearing matching grey sneakers. Sie takes off the wig, but keeps hir hair up in a messy bun. "I love the color grey. It is one of those in between colors. If I was a color, I would be grey. My whole wardrobe is black and gray." Sie explains. Sie remembers writing a peom when sie was young about how sie is the color gray and how hir teacher made hir change it to silver, since gray is an unattractive color.

Sakari furroughs his brow in surprise.
"Wow, gray is one of my favorite colors too." I say, looking down at my bright orange, orange Crush t-shirt. "I love gray overcast days, and am really excited to see Ireland because of that. Gray is a color, or lack thereof, that leaves no residue on your brain, so you are left to your thoughts. That's why in the story 'the yellow wallpaper', the wallpaper was yellow, because yellow is obnoxious. I would go insane too if I were stuck in that damned room..." I reply, almost in one breath.
"Ah yeah, colors are one of my hobbies."

"That is a nice get up, very...orange. I really liked orange back in the ...8th grade." Cambridge says as they head out for the jog. Cambridge feels older than Sakari, but isn't sure how old he is. Something about him is very immature yet ageless. It makes hir feel old and boring. They start jogging at a slow pace.
"You are a little different, you know. You aren't like most guys I meet."
