"Aw, cool. Well, I'll see you around then. Uh..well here is my number too if you want it. If you ever want to go skiing or something just give me a call. I like skiing. Maybe I can show you my pet reindeer sometime. It is at my mom's farm."

I pull my mask on, and try to get used to the notion of not talking with my mouth, which proves difficult. I run my thumb under the strap on the assault rifle on my shoulder, and instead of talking, I simply nod my head. Breathing proves difficult with this on as well, but I do my best to get used to it.
I walk over to Peter and wait for our next move.

"I'll be certain to." I say. "And I'll try to give you a call as soon as I know where I'll be staying."

Sakari nods.
"I heard too. The leaders of organizations are planning to get as many people in the streets as possible to counter this. I wonder what they're planning here, maybe we should meet with the local organizations and see what's up." I say, then take a deep breath.
"Ah it sure is pleasant here..."

Cambridge and Selja take a bus to the airport, and both wait for her flight. "I'll see you around. Have a safe flight." Sie gives Selja a goodbye hug.
"Well, that's that. No use standing on goodbyes. See you later." Sie leaves Selja at the airport, deciding not to linger too long lest she get too sentimental or emotional.

"That's a good idea. Let's go to the local branch and see if they have any advice of how we should go about this. Maybe they have information about what happened to the party leaders as well." Bassarov says, enjoying the pleasant weather and finally feeling a little less stressed about the situation.

"Yes... I'll see you later." I say after we seperate. "Talk to you in a week or so." I walk aboard the plane, a new wide-body piston engine transport. Since about a century ago most civilian aircraft have gone back to having piston engines, usually diesel engines, as opposed to jets. This is because of the global oil shortage and enormous cost of aviation kerosene.

"You get used to it," says Peter's voice in his in Mischa's ear, "Just remember to tuck and put your feet down before impact or it'll be like hitting cement.."
Without more warning the hatch blows open, the wind outside rushing inside, pulling at the two men like hands. Peter turns and leaps out the hatch, into the darkness, dropping like a rock. After a moment he tightens himself, feet downwards, like an arrow, and seems to vanish into darkness below. Then the clouds move and the reflection shows itself, the moon reflected back up at them.
It's the lake below. The night is making the water black. Peter hits the water hard and sinks deep, but doesn't hit the bottom. As soon as he stops, he spreads his arms and legs and swims for shore.

Nathan looked out the window of his plane. It was a nice view of America. He hadn't been here in about a year due to some conflicts in South Africa's neighboring countries, but now he had some free time and was going to meet with some American senators and other diplomatic figures. Most of them just wanted to conserve their diamond interests. Greedy bastards. Still, it wasn't in Nathan's character to judge.

"Since you ungrateful insects don't care for this music, we can listen to something else. We can listen to Romanian techno. Now, be quiet and listen you fools."
Some people think that I am a little mentally imbalanced. Just slightly. It is usually just an act to assert who is in control.
I pop in a cassette of O-Zone. I don't believe in CDs. They are a secret fascist plot to get us to spend more money on music.
I put the cassette in and the first song is Dragostea Din Tei.

(because I don't have the time to go and read all the threads I missed while I was in Mexico City, Acapulco, Matagora, Port Aransas, and Cancun, I'm just going to say Alejos left the socialist meeting without incident and is now in Brazil where he is aiding a military coup.)
Alejos was surprised at himself. While yes, these guys did believe in Socialism and yes they did plan to take it by force, they seemed content with the idea of doing it by any means necessary. Alejos believed in more civilized warfare than "just kill 'em all," if that makes any sense. Civillians, for instance, should never have to witness or partake in the horrors of war and neither they, or their families, need to suffer the hardships of battle.
He had managed to get some people thinking like him, mercy to children and all civillians, don't shoot unless you're being shot at or unless you have a clean shot at a military target, etc. etc. Because of his way with words he had managed to get himself in the upper ranks and was on about the 3rd tier of the big shots leading this thing.

((To Nathan Mandela)) After Lumumba returns to his home he places a call to Nathan Mandela. He assumes the South Africa leader has returned from America by now. "How was your trip to America, friend?" Kasai asks him over the static of a faulty phone system.

As we drive along, I force everyone to sing along with the O-zone song.
"Sing. It will make the ride go faster. Sing or we are pulling over."
The SLA unites in song...
...
After many hours of romanian music, we arrive in Seattle without incident.

Nathan picks up his cell phone. (all calls to Nathan's place of residence are to be forwarded to his cell phone thanks to modern technology. YAY!) He hears the voice on the other end and his smile broadens.
"Kasai!" He says warmly, "Oh, my trip is going well. I'm actually in New York right now. I'm going to go eat at the Carnegie Deli later tonight. Yourself?"
