"Well I can walk back to your hotel with you, but then I should head back. I have more meetings tomorrow. But maybe we can do some site seeing if we have the time."

The security guard looks at your ID card and says "Okay sir, you may proceed; Private Mayers will escort you." A MP not much older than you walks up and begins to follow you as you enter the base.
I begin to jog. I look down to light a cigarette as I approach the base enterence, and don't even see Grey until I plow directly into him, bowling both of us over. "Sorry sir, you allright?" I ask as I get back up and dust myself off.

"That'd be fun. Well, let's go." I leave a small tip on the table as we walk off. "I'd been waiting to say... that ever since I got back from Finland. I feel a lot better now."

"My mother, Senator Rochester, was visiting the base and I was wondering if you could maybe point me in the direction where she might be." Grey replies politely.

Bassarov walks Selja back to her hotel, but doesn't say a whole lot. "I'm glad that you feel better. It will be fun traveling." Is all he says. He walks her up to her room. "Good night." He pecks her on the cheek, but leaves quickly. He feels a little guilty about how she feels about him and how he really isn't looking for a relationship right now. When he arrives back at the hostel he wakes Sakari up to talk about tomorrow and about Selja.

"Senator Rochester? Was it an inspection or a 'pep talk?'" I ask back as I inspect and throw away the crushed cigarette I was trying to light earlier. I look this young man over and decide he is attractive enough, and more importantly he doesn't look like the bossy type. Sure I follow orders without question, but I get tired of being ordered around by people other than General Kolov... "Sorry, I just got back from abroad and am not completely sure what's going on. But we can find out. Private, you're dismissed, I'll help him find the senator."

"Goodnight." I say to Bassarov as he leaves. I wait ten minutes after he leaves, then step outside and smoke a cigarette before I go to bed, not wanting to be alone...

"Oh, you're such a doll, helping me out like this. I could just hug you. Well, I think my mother came here for a pep talk. She was one of the few democrats that was for the war." He replies to her.
"Where are my manners? My name is Grey. Maybe you have heard of me. My dad is the CEO of Nokia. If you are ever looking for a mobile service, I can hook you up."

"Rei Usagi. And it's not a problem. I have little use for a cellular telephone, but I'll bear that in mind." I say as I start leading him towards a set of bleachers by the athletics field, and see that the senator is still giving a presentation. "It appears that your mother is still busy. Would you like to sit and talk for awhile?" I ask.

"I'd love to. So anyway, this is my first time at a base. I guess I am sheltered from a lot of things. But I'm leaving next week to build houses in Zaire. My dad and I do that kind of thing together. It's how we give back some of that money we have."

I think of when I dealt with Capulet, and am relieved. "I'm glad that you use your money for good purposes. There are too many that squander their wealth, which hurts everyone, including themselves." I sit down on a bench beside the path and light a cigarette. "I actually just got back from Russia. Things are a mess over there right now."

"I know! It just breaks my heart. Last summer I volunteered in an orphanage there. We have a charity which sends winter clothes to orphans in Russia. But it is just terrible. Going places like that just makes me appreciate America and how much we have here." He replies.

"Yes, unfortunately not everyone agrees with that, and taxation doesn't do enough to solve the problem. I spend a lot of time abroad, and see a lot of the world. And so many people are so selfish... If they just did what they were told... Sorry. I didn't mean to unload on you."

"A lot of business owners are just plain old mean! I think the more you have the more out of touch you become with the real world. I mean, I meet capitalists like Capulet Heart or Alexander Larson and I think, wow, these people have no soul. What I really think the world needs is some values, and we can start with our leaders and business owners."

"I would tend to agree. With power comes responsibility, but some of these people have forgotten that. We seem to agree on a lot, perhaps we should spend more time together."
