Syria was descending into Chaos. The public was in a panic. To calm them down President Hedjaz called an Assembly to address the nation.
The crowds gathered around the Central Executive Building in front of a large speaking platform. Many people were there from the common man to the Al-Jazeera to the high-privileged.
The President was about to go up. The Prime Minster was in his ending points on his introduction for the President.
Akbar was anxious. The people were in turmoil. They would want their leader to reassure them, to tell them he will protect them. But even he wasn’t so sure he could protect his people from these antagonist Juggernauts.
The Prime Minster had finished his intro and everyone was clapping waiting for Akbar. He sighed and steeped out with a heart lighting smile. He shook the Prime Minster’s and began his Speech.
“My people, Today many nations of the world declared war upon our tiny nation. And for what reason is this justifiable? All we have done is protect the Muslims of Lebanon. And when they ordered us to pull out we began a calm and efficient pull out. But the they declared it wasn’t enough! They said we weren’t pulling out fast enough, they declared that we were stalling! We had done no such thing. Then it was put to a vote in the U.N. if we were a threat on not to the peace of the world. And rightly many nations voted no. But it didn’t stop this invasion. I pledge to you, on this day we will not become another Iraq! We will not become another country crushed under the oppressive boot of the Americans. We will show the world our power. We will show them that any unprecedented and unjustifiable attack against Nations such as ours come with dire consequences. I work against the corruption in our world and attmept to fix the world and in return the world stabs me in the back. THeis war is just a way for the U.S. to further their own petty vendettas. On this day I urge resist the Americans. Don’t not falter! We shall be relentless in our attacks. They will pay for this! I promise you that I will not stop in my resistance! I will not give up! I hope that you will follow me in our great venture.”
He stopped listening for their clapping. They were ecstatic. The roars of the crowd incredibly loud. He felt relieved by the people.
“I thank you my people. Your support helps me in these times.”
He stepped off the area and out of sight.
