Heikki walks down the street feeling in a bad mood again. He hates having too many people around. It was nice when it was just him or just him and the bunny. He walks along with his head down admiring the cracks in the sidewalk.

"I know I know, I just get defensive..." I reply, hanging my head slightly. "And I don't really mean that about the anarchists either, I think you guys do cool stuff."

"My mom sent me a pie. We should all dig in. It's pecan pie. Not my favorite, but good in small portions." Antero says as he sets a pie on the table.

Because the government officials will not listen to me, I go to the Church. I tell the priest about all of the terrible things that are happening in the mountain villages. I tell him about the deaths and the raids.
The father blesses me, but tells me that I should not worry and that the church will not get involved. He sends me away with enough money to buy food and take the bus back to my village.
As I wait for the bus to pick me up, I feel upset. Coming here accomplished nothing. When I return home I will have no answers or help.

I go to my classes and take my exams. I worry about Alvaro, but there is nothing I can do right now. I just have to be a good student and pass my classes.
I haven't been going to meetings now that school is busier. I am even less interested in politics. In my free time, instead of going to protests or meetings, I am going to the mall and movies with my friends.
Maybe I have given up hope and this is an easier way to live. My parents seem happier with me now that I have given all of that up. I feel down, but I am glad that my family and friends are happy with me.

After the Americans enter Damascus everything is chaos. The invaders are met with little resistance in the capital, but the streets are wild with people scrambling to leave the country. I remain and do some interviews. I am not even sure what has happened to the leadership. Some say that they have fled the country but the sources are unreliable.
With the looting and anarchy in the streets, it is too unsafe for me to go out. So I wait at my hotel with groups of other journalists, watching the events unfold.

"That is a pretty sad story. Those dogs should've mauled the humans to protect one of their pack. Maybe if this planet was run by wolves we'd be better off." Zivon replies.
"We'd at least be no worse off."

"Yeah too bad. So do you come here often?" I ask trying to figure out something to talk about and not really having any luck.

"Only when my girlfriend kicks me out of my house and steals my playstation." Zivon says, making a point of saying that he has no girlfriend.
"Do you know how long has Heikki had that bunny?"

"No fucking clue. He never mentioned it before."
"Hey, you ever get that feeling that we should be in a movie together? I have it right now."

"I always think I'm in a movie. The Truman Show mostly. I just hope that I can find the big dome overhead soon, because I'm losing my fucking mind."

Once the prisoner interviews are done I take a military shuttle back to the States. Strangely however I am not scolded by Kolov for letting Mr. Young get killed. I learn that the HRT has temporarialy relocated to a nearby field office in preperation for the move against the SLA, so I go to them to resume my training...

My head still hurts, and all I hear from Freida is a murmer. "WHat was that?" I ask quietly.
