"I'm not too fond of France," he said with a shrug. "Throughout history, whenever trouble comes a knockin', the French whip out their baguettes and their wine and shout, 'We surrender!'
"I don't mind Spain for whatever reason. Although I prefer Buenos Aires."

Helene laughs at that since it is mostly true. "Nothing is worse than America. They just loved jumping dead into someone else's problems."
" 'We just want to be humanitarians' my ass. They loved oil and money. Greedy bastards."

"Don't even get me started on America," Freak Boy said with a sigh. The computer hummed to life finally and began searching for the listed signals.
"Ok, now it'll take about 15 minutes or so..."

"I used to live in America, before the revoltution in Bolivia started. I don't miss it. A couple decades ago, I saw the ruins of my house." Helene says in a reflective tone.
"I've lived everywhere except outerspace. Not that I don't want to. I do."

"Let's see... my homes include Scenic Siberia, the Lovely Ministry of Torture, Buenos Aires, Helsinki, and for a small time New York. Oh, and Beijing. But who hasn't lived in Beijing at one point or another?"

"At yes, the Ministry of Terror... I still have a fucking scar from that. Thats the first time I met that bitch, Kaeika." Helene says, rubbing her stomach.
"I miss my husband and children. Do you have any family?"

"No--at least not to my knowledge. I can only assume that, like most people, I have a mother and father and that they're out there somewhere, but since I've never met them I really don't care if they're out there or not," he said with a shrug.

"I wish my life was like that." Helene says quietly. "My father is dead now, and my mother is a royal bitch and the whore of all whores. She has probably slept with half the population of the world."
"But I love everyone else. I just wish I was alone."

"I don't think I could stand being alone--I mean, I do alright on my own, but I think everyone needs friends of some sort," he said, laying down and looking up at the sky as the clouds floated by.

"Friends are what brings the most trouble." Helene says cryptically. Maybe she is being sarcastic or acctually referring to certain people.
"I wish I had stayed dead. Who knows what the future will bring? This whole situation is fucked up and difficult."

"Personally it's been my experience that friends keep me from going insane... well, more insane anyway...," he said.
"Don't say that--if it's any consolation, I'm glad you're not dead and enjoy your company. As far as the situation at hand... we can do nothing but face the obsticales that are presented to us and attempt to take them in stride. Once you've hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up."
It didn't happen often, but once in a blue moon FB would end up presenting wisdom and insight seemingly beyond his years. Normally when he did this it meant he was drunk or half asleep, but there are rare occasions where he's conscious enough to remember these words of wisdom.

"Wow, that was... wise." Helene remarked with some awe. That was the wises thing FB had ever said in her presence.
"Maybe I was meant to live. But why? All I do is dunk and dodge and hide. Its becoming a bit old."

"Perhaps there's more to what you do than you realise," he suggested. "In dunking, dodging, and hiding you are proving that people still can think for themselves. In addition you're telling all of us rebels that we're not alone.
"Sure, this lifestyle gets old after a while, but once you've found a little nitch in the system you can adapt quite nicely."

Suzumi nodded, slightly excited about going out to eat. She hadn't eaten out in a very very long time. Smiling, she replied eagerly, "Japanese food sounds great to me right now, Riku. Let's go!" Surma stayed behind, since he seemed to be busy.

he nodded and teleported them both to about a block away from the resturant. he glanced at her and smiles slightly as they walk the rest of the way.
"something on your mind?"
