"It could be Tom. He has been acting strange and it seems that shortly after I tell him anything, something bad happens."
"He is also never in dangerous situations." Bassarov says, thinking now that maybe it is indeed Tom. He doesn't think at all of Mary, who is often seen with Tom, since Bassarov doesn't know her very well.
"Maybe I will talk to Tom. He is a nice guy, but he does seem a little secretive."

I arrive at the cafe, but since I don't know what Rei looks like, I have a hard time figuring out who I am looking for.
I wander around the cafe aimlessles, hoping someone with flag me down to sit with them.

I see what looks like a skinny young man walking around, and think That can't be her... But I just am not sure, so when 'he' gets close I say "Hey, are you from Cambridge by any chance?"

"Interrogation time," Alejos says. "I'd like to accompany you. It's a personal issue on both our parts."
"Alejos... let's not be rash, Comrade. It could be coincidence, it could be someone Tom knows who's doing this... a civillian!"
"Oh yeah, what are the odds of that, Trotsky," Stalin asks with a triumphant smile. "Face it, the only possibility is that it was someone from one of the rival Socialist movements, attempting to cripple the organization that your flawed logic produced."

Once again I am busy with paperwork, again, and I wonder when it will end or when I'll have time to spend with my friends... Provided of course they feel like spending time with me. I am still worried about Alejos, and hope he got out of prison safely.

"Let's not confront him. It would be rude. We will wait and observe him. If we are on the lookout for strange behaviors, we might have reason to question him." Bassarov concludes.
"I say, we act as though nothing is wrong, but keep our eyes and ears open."

"Yes I am, pleased to meet you." I say with some surprise and offer to shake her hand, and think A woman with a smaller bust than I have? Now I've seen everything...

Alejos stops dead in his tracks. "You don't honestly mean that do you? You already said yourself you noted suspicious behavior, that whenever you tell him something we get busted... that's reason enough to confront him... and interrogate him under a spotlight..."
"Now he's talking," Stalin shouts enthusiastically, his bloodlust showing.
Trotsky just sighs. "Where did I go wrong with him?"

Cambridge sits down and orders a coffee.
"Sorry I was short on the phone. I have done a lot of traveling lately so this isn't a good time for me to explain anything. My mind is kind of scrambled."

"I think we need some more evidenc before outright accusing him. It is too hostile a thing to do. I am just saying, we should wait, keep and eye on him, and approach him about it if these strange coincidences continue." Bassarov replies.
"You always have to give a person the benefit of the doubt. That is how we do things."

"Well I can understand that. I've been flying and riding trains all over the world for the last month, and my only friend died recently so I am also a little frayed... We could just talk about politics... Or whatever."

"I brought with me some other articals that I wrote. I am too tired to explain my politics right now." I hand her a large folder full of information.
"It is all pretty easy to understand."

Under normal attitudes, Alejos would've shared Bassarov's notion of giving a person the benifit of the doubt from the very beginning. However, his prison experience was less than pleasant. Aside from watching the woman who brought him out of Asceticism head off to Columbia, there were those two convicts...
"Fine... we'll wait a little longer. But as soon as another of thse 'coincidences' happens, we confront him. 'Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you,'" Alejos said, quoting that old saying.

"Okay, thank you." I say as I set the articles aside. "You aren't exactly what I expected either... I don';t mean to sound rude, but when I saw you I thought you were a boy."
