As I lie here and stare the fabric starts to tear It's far beyond repair And I don't really care As far as I have gone I knew what side I'm on But now I'm not so sure The line begins to blur

Mac moves back from Kaschei letting his lips linger.
"I would prefer not to be a lackey. But equal?, to hear you use that word is wonderous. To be honest I cant wait until you are freed from this marital prison. She serves no purpose I cant do for you. Besides she is too sweet for people like us. I'd rather drink her blood than even talk to her."
Mac knows that his craft will probably put Kaschei at unease but he is proud of what he studies. One day he aspires to have the goddess use him as a vessel but as what he is unsure.
"Kaschei you make me feel more elated than if I had killed. I feel as satiated with you as if I were bathing in the blood of 13 virgins. When you are freed and you do lose your mortal compassion I am sure I will covet you even more."
A sadistic glint in Macs eye is the only hint at what lies behind in his mind. He leans forward and kisses Kaschei on his mouth careful of everything. His hand moving to stroke his friends hair. Mac playfully bites Kascheis lower lip a bit hard.

After talking to the red head, I decided to take a walk around the city and found a small table near the cafe. As I sat down, the waiter came up to me ask me, in russian if I wanted anything. I said to her, in russian, I wanted some moutian dew and a chocolate muffin. She wrote it down and went into the cafe. As I am waiting for my dew and muffin, I took out a picture of a baby in sleeveless white nightgown. As soon I took out the picture, my eyes started to water up. I miss her so much. I wish I spent some time with my baby girl, my only daughter, Renenet Meskhenet Robienayai. I quickly put away my daughter's picture in my pocket and wipe my tears as the waiter came back with my drink and muffin. I pay the waiter and he left. I then started drinking and eating.

"Huh, oh yeah... Thanks so much for letting me bring Boris!" Pavel says, giggling.
After Maria heads out the door towards the car, Pavel buys some heroin, E, ketamine, and pot from Greg and Silent Borya. He decides not to buy any uppers or cocaine, since the last run-in with Mr. Bessmertny wasn't very good. He has money now, and it's not like he has anything else to spend it on. A plane ticket out of Russia plays at the back of his mind, but he knows that that is impossible. He will never get out of Russia.
Pavel picks up Boris Deathray, and hugs him happily. "You get to stay with my now! We're going to have so much fun. The house that we are going to be staying at is really, really pretty!"
Pavel gets in the passenger seat, and opens the window, so Boris can stick his head out the window. Boris is very small, So Pavel lifts Boris up, to help him out.
"I won't tell Kaschei if you won't.... Hey, you know what would be yummy right now! Cake! I like cake..." Pavel is still buzzed.

Kaschei wonders what happened to Pavel. He really isn't needed any more, but he may keep him around to help Maria with the cooking and housework. He feels overwhelmed at the moment and steps away. "I'm sorry. I have difficultly getting close to people." He says and hands Machiavelli the books. "As you know, I take an interest in magic and mythology as well. I also serve a goddess. The name of the goddess is Louhi. She is a Finnish goddess. It is odd that I put her above the slavic ones, but she has spoken to me." He says, looking at his many books.
"I have a long way to go." He says vaguely.

Pavel and Maria get home. Pavel goes to his room to take a shower, and change his clothes, since he obviously smells like drugs. He hides his drugs in his sock drawer.
Pavel also makes a little bed for Boris Deathray with a towel, and puts out a bowl of water for him. Pavel also has a couple of cans of dog food which Greg and Silent Borya gave him, so he opens one up for Boris.
Pavel is suprised and somewhat grateful that Greg and Silent Borya actually gave Boris Deathray real dog food, instead of pot brownies, or something. Pavel heard somewhere that chocolate is poisonous for dogs. Pavel wouldn't want anything to happen to Boris, since Boris is his best friend.

"I never thought of that. You really think they would try something?" Bassarov asks naively. He catches himself and clears his voice. "Of course I wouldn't put it past them. But I didn't think that the Venezuelan leader was THAT much a threat. I know he is getting friendly with Cuba, but I was under the impression that he was still pretty moderate."
"Sorry, maybe I need to pay closer attention to South American politics."

Heikki finds himself back in Helsinki. He couldn't bring himself to join a terrorist group or the mafia and he wonders why. "Maybe I am just getting soft. Maybe I do care about people or this cruddy world." He heads back to his apartment and enters the dark living room. "Zivon, you here?"

Pavel looks at the clock. It is 9:59. Mr. Bessmertny said he should be down by 10:00 sharp, or else. Pavel doesn't want to know what 'or else' is. He is pretty sure that 'or else' is extremely unpleasant, if not fatal. Pavel scampers down the hall, to Mr. Bessmertny's room and he is... not there. Pavel is somewhat puzzled, but relieved. Maybe Mr. Bessmertny forgot....
Pavel sits next to the door, just in case Mr. Bessmertny comes back.

"Listen Machiavelli, there is something I must attend to." He replies, wondering if Pavel has returned. "I will be back shortly." And he then dismisses himself and heads down the hall. He sees Pavel sitting outside his room. "A friend of mine has returned from America, so your new job is to help Maria with the cooking and cleaning until further notice."

"Yes sir," Pavel says, managing to nod while staring at his shoes. He is very, very confused. Perhaps Kaschei has some sort of weird cooking and cleaning fetish, or something. Pavel supposes he doesn't care, as long as he is getting paid.
"What should I do now?" Pavel asks timidly. "Perhaps you would like me to entertain you and your friend?"
It isn't that Pavel is particularly eager, it's that this odd turn of events makes him almost uncomfortable. Usually, when people have a prostitute in their house, it's to have sex, not to wash dishes and do laundry. Pavel is unsure of what this means. Does it mean that he is no longer useful? If that is the case, does that mean his life is in danger, or will he be leaving soon?

"You see...a friend of mine has returned and you are no longer needed for what you were intended for. And no, I would rather you not meet him. He is more frightening than I am." Kaschei ellaborates. "I will keep you around until I figure out what to do with you. Maria seems to like you and trust you as a friend."
"Maybe you can spend time with her and Zhar. Make sure Zhar keeps his hands of my wife."

"Yes sir," Pavel says, exhaling. At least Kaschei hasn't indicated that he wants to kill him. That is always a good sign.
Pavel nods his respectfully before returning to his room. Instead of using drugs this time, he decides to play with Boris. He uses a pair of socks as a toy, and plays fetch with him. The socks are about half of Boris's size, but they manage.

Kaschei returns to his study and rejoins Machiavelli. "Sorry about that. I just needed to check up on one of the servants."

"It is fine, while you were gone I had time to think about your words and I understand completely. I let my emotions get the better of me when I am around you. It is a bad habit that I cant seem to break. And I dont really wish to..."
Mac changes subject when it seems evident he is not going to get any affection from Kaschei.
"And I am familiar with Louhi she seems right up my alley dont you think"
Mac laughs and puts a hand to emphasise his ghoulish appearance.
"Perhaps she would find favor with me and i would no longer feel so alone."
Mac wants his friend desperately but is afraid to ask. You see for all of the fear he stirs up in Kaschei...Kaschei scares his friend even more. Not because he fears him but he fears what he would do for him and in his name. Mac reaches out, damn did he want his friend to be near him.
