"The museum sounds cool." I say with real enthusiasim. I like museums, especially those that show more than just 'cultural artifacts.'

"It's a nice day, so let's walk. It will be a pleasant walk I think." Bassarov says, leading her out the door.
"I think there are some interesting Irish artifacts there such as the Tara Brooch as well as a natural history section."

"So it's not just an art museum? Good. I mean art's nice and all but I like to look at things that actually mean something." I say as we walk along.

"No this is a history museum, though there is a nice art museum not too far from it." He explains as they walk. They enter the museum, which is large and divided into different periods of time. It deals mainly with Irish history, therefore, all of the artifacts came from Ireland. There are different swords, helmets, pots, human remains, models of early settlements, and so on.

"Well I like history museums better. I'm sure you've been to the ones in Moscow and St. Petersberg... I wish I could go to them sometime..."

"I love museums. I haven't been to any large museums in St Petersburg or Moscow. But if we ever are in St Petersburg, I will take you to the Hermitage. Even if you don't like art, it is worth seeing."
They enter a section of the museum which features broaches and other kinds of ancient Celtic jewlery and pins. The intricate details of the handmade jewelry is stunning.

I wait for Alejos to return my call. The waiting is killing me. I have to know what happened to Alvaro. I wish that there was someone who I could contact.
I go to the police and file a report on a missing person. I am told that his wife already filed the report and that I should stay out of this.
I am hurt and leave the police station feeling very sad. I just want to help. I hope he returns soon. Something horrible must have happened to him when he traveled to Moscow.

"That's a date." I say and wink. I then look at the display. "Wow... These are amazing, how old are they?" I am somewhat spellbound by the display.

"These come from different periods, but the Tara Brooch is from the 8th century." Bassarov says as they wander towards the display. The tara brooch is a gold brooch decorated with amber and glass beads.

My father tells me it is best to travel to the capital now, and so I do. I leave home with a few items and make the long trip to the city. I have to hitch hike since we do not have a car. Once I am at the base of the mountain, I wait along the side of the road for a ride.
A truck pulls over and I get inside. I am afraid, riding that long distance with a stranger is dangerous. But I need to tell the government what is happening in the mountains.

The invasion has begun, but I am safe for now in Damascus. People are panicing. Some of them are packing up their things and moving out of the country for safety. Most are fleeing for Lebanon or Jordan from what I have heard.
I do a few interviews with people in the streets asking them why they think that the Americans have come here.
Most do not think that Syria has any more terrorists than any other country in the area or that they have weapons of mass destruction.

"Cool. I've been to a couple museums in Helsinki, and I took the short tour of the Kremlin, but that's about it. You probaly have a better appreciation for these than I do, but I do think they;re beautiful."

"I just think of all the work that goes into making them and I am in awe." They walk to other sections of the national museum, through different eras in history, each with unique and interesting artifacts. They finally wander into the natural history section and see the remains of an Irish elk. Apparently at one time there were many forests in Ireland, but it was all deforested long ago. There were even bears in the country. "This is all interesting."

"I think it's amazing. The world's changed so much." I say as I look at the elk. "I' saw an elk once. In Finland that is. My dad used to go hunting, he actually took me along once but we didn;t see anything that day."

"That's good that you do things with your father. My father and I don't get along at all." Bassarov mentions as they are leaving the museum. It was a nice time.
They head to a cafe for something to eat.
