The thread title doesn't really have to do with anything, including what may or may not happen herein.

"It is good to be here, old friend," he said with a warm smile. He gave Kassai a handshake and a pat-on-the-back type hug.
"So, how have things been?"
(Sorry that took so long. My mother is a favoritist and even though my little brother shouted at the top of his lungs that his textbook would not be online and that my mother was not helping by wasting time on the computer and using an encyclopedia which is horribly outdated, she did so anyway and only 2 minutes ago realized that it wasn't helping.)

"I have been well. I am just a little worried. Earlier this month a multinational corporation financed the overthrow of the government of Sierre Leon. They used their own mercenaries to take over the country and seize the diamond mines."

"No! I honestly hoped I would never have to see such things here. I suppose we should have expected something like that, though," he said with a sigh.
"Still, it fills me with great joy to know that you are well," Mandela said, changing the subject to a more cheery one. "You should consider coming to America with me some time. They have sandwiches this big," he said, holding his hand about 7in. apart from one another.

"I can't believe you trusted an outsider with this job. Well, once he brings back the drugs we'll kill him. He knows too much." Kaschei says in an annoyed tone to Ivan, the man who gave Sakari the job in exchange for information.
"It was foolish. Who knows who he is or was...." Kaschei says. He grinds his nails into the wooden arms of the chair he is seated in. He does this when he annoyed and tense.
"And did you give him the information?"
"No, of course not Mr. Bessmertny."
"Good, now get out of my sight."

Kasai smiles. "There are too many problems here for me to leave right now, and the Americans don't like me anyway. But maybe I will some time..."

"Right, I understand," Mandela said with that same constant smile on his face. "So, I would very much like a tour of your home. It seems to have changed since I last saw it. These ferns are new," he said, looking at some large potted plants by the window.

Sakari is now carrying a giant bag full of illegal drugs. "Christ, could they have been any more obvious?" He asks himself, annoyed. There's no way he can get this back on to a commercial airline. Instead, he knows of a few private jets that make flights in and out of the country, and hitches a ride with them, paying them the money he earned at the poker game on the plane ride in.
***Plane ride!***
The plane arrives back in Moscow, and Sakari hitches a ride with someone he knows to the drop off point. He gets out of the car, takes a deep breath, and walks underneath the bridge, waiting for his contact to arrive.

"Very well." Kasai takes him inside and shows him the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bath, and so on. He also shows him his collection of masks and art. "If you are hungry, there's food made."

"Oh, thank you for the offer. I regret to say that I filled up on a large ham sandwich on the plane ride over. If I knew you would have had food prepared I wouldn't have been such a glutton," he said in an apologetic tone. "I am still thirsty though. Perhaps I could have a glass of milk?"

Ivan approaches Sakari nervously and rubs the back of his head. "It looks like there was a mistake. My boss...wants to meet you. He's the one with the information you need." Ivan says anxiously. He looks to his feet and back to his car.
"Get in the car."

"Sure." Kasai grabs a glass and some milk for his friend, then both sit down at the table.
"How are things in South Africa?"

"Thank you," he said, sitting down across from Kasai.
"Things are going quite well. I managed to explain to the Kay Jeweler people that I will not be lowering minimum wage and that my people were just that--citizens, not slaves," he said proudly. "I am glad to say that they have not again pressed the issue, so that is good news. We're still very far off from achieving the class equality that we hope to attain, but I know we'll get there in time."

Sakari freezes. Anytime anybody tells you to 'get in the car', that's usually an invitation to get shot.
I take a deep breath, knowing that there's nothing I can do now anyways, and make my way to the car, jumping in the back seat. I wear my poker face the whole time, trying to give them the impression that I'm someone who has no idea what he's doing. The less they think I know, the better.

"We need to build the infrastructure here but we haven't the money and I am not interested in IMF or World Bank loans. I don't know where to begin to unravel the long history of problems we have and continue to suffer. The economic reforms have helped some, but there are too many external pressures."
