"I am from Japan, my real name is Yukiko Ito. I am the daughter of a man who owns a Japanese car company. That is why I use the name Sayuka in the party. I don't want people to know who my family is."
"I suppose there isn't much else to say. You lead a far more interesting life."

"I'd be moving in with Shura and Salome. I don't plan to return for a long time." Heikki says, hoping to get a reaction out of him.
"But yeah, you two can stay here while I am gone."

"Alright." Zivon replies just as the commercials start. He gets up, and heads into the kitchen.
"When will you be back?" I yell into the other room as I put some toast into the toaster.

"I'm going to be moving in with them. I will be back to visit, but I am...going to live there." Heikki explains.
"Oh nevermind."
"What were you watching?"

"Why thank you." Sakari replies, a little surprised to hear who her father is.
"That's a little surprising to hear a socialist say something like that. I can't really blame you for wanting to hide your idenity. No offense or anything." I reply, sipping some of my tea.

I smile and look down at the table.
"You sound like a bit of a troublemaker, Mr. Sakari."
I don't know his last name, so I simply call him Mr. Sakari.
"Oh well, I am used to living an uninteresting life, so it might liven things up."

"Chicago Hope." Zivon replies, not having heard the previous statement. He takes a bite out of his toast and sits down at the couch again.
"I've already seen this episode, you want to watch a movie or something?" I ask somewhat vacantly.

"Sure. I would like to spend some time with you before I go." Heikki says. He realizes that he sounds pathetic. But, his mind and sense of the world has been a mess lately.
Heikki sits down, but feels more depressed than usual.
"You're a good friend. I know you don't value that. But I think it is an okay thing to say. I see things for what they are. Foolish attachments to people. Just like my attachments to flavor."

Zivon smirks.
"Sure Heikki." I reply. I've always felt somewhat strange about his feelings, and that Heikki's nihilism seems forced and contrived at times, but I still worry about my friend.
"Hey, don't worry about it Heikki." Zivon says, turning off the television. "Sure I value your friendship. Who else can I talk to about the stupid shit in life?"

"When and why did you become a nihilist?"
"I became one because I have had a lot of shitty things happen to me. At first I gave up on God, since what kind of horrible God would create a world like this?"
"And slowly I just gave up on other things. Government, society, life."
"There is nothing with value in this world. Everything is just a painful delusion."
"But sometimes I want to believe that there could be some meaning to all of this. So...that's why I have been so confused lately. I'm sorry. I am not really like this all of the time. Maybe because this was the time of year my mother was dying."

"Why did I become a Nihilist?" Zivon parrots as though he were stalling for time.
"Ah well... I guess it was just a natural thing, nobody realy gave me the time of day and I grew cynical about everything. Then looking around at the world, and understanding the fact that I wasn't wanted by my mother, it just sorta all came together." I say in an almost out of characterly serious tone of voice.
"Sorry Dariya and I looked in your mother's chest by the way."

Heikki nods. He doesn't push for more conversation.
"I don't care, and I'm sure she doesn't." He says, dismissing that they went through his trunk. He feels obligated to act more like his old self and more aloof to things.
"Well, let's watch the movie. You pick. I don't care what we watch. Most every movie I have ever seen sucks anyway."
He turns to the TV and understands that he admires Zivon because he has overcome his humanity. He is not a human. He is something greater. Something liberated from the lies and the noose of truth. He wishes he could be like that, but realizes that he is too weak and mindwashed. He smiles to himself and waits for Zivon to pick a movie.
It isn't good to admire people. That too is a trap.

Zivon nods, and looks through Heikki's collection. All the titles seem like hand me downs, or just, altogether, not very interesting.
"I don't know Heikki, it's a toss up between My Dog Skip, and The Little Mermaid." I say, holding both movies in my hands.

"I have one I think you'll like."
Heikki pulls out Milo and Otis. It is a movie about a pug nosed pup and an orange kitty, and the adventure they go on together. It is a story of friendship and moving on.
Heikki puts the VCR going (since he doesn't have a DVD player.) He sits back and watches the quaint movie begin.

Zivon watches this movie with a blank expression on his face.
"Maybe Shakespeare should have used a dog and a cat for Romeo and Juliet. The perfect metaphor for star struck lovers." I say, somewhat randomly.
