"Ssshhhh, I want to watch this." Heikki hushes Zivon. The orange kitty is seperated from the pup when he hides in a box. The box is pushed into a stream and floats down a river, thus beginning the adventure. Milo (the cat) goes down a waterfall, meets scary wild animals along the way, befriends a fox, helps a stuck pig, all the while, Otis is trying to find him and bring him back to the farm.

Zivon remembers watching this movie when he was a kid, and liking it then. It brings back a strange sense of nostalgia to him, though he feels like he should hate this movie.
I sit quietly for the duration of the movie.

By the time the movie is over, Heikki has his mind made up. He knows what he is going to do. He gets up and grabs his suitcase.
"I'm going to go with Shura. Take care of the apartment. I don't want it trashed when I get back. And the school across the street is looking for a substitute biology teacher." Heikki says to Zivon. He is one of the few people who knows that Zivon has a degree in biology.
"See you around."

"Sure. Have fun with Shura." Zivon replies, and nods his head.

Heikki heads out the door and calls Shura from a pay phone. He leaves a message on his machine.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I decided to stay here in Helsinki with Zivon."
And once he has left the message, he gets on a bus. He decides he will do some traveling, be alone for a while, and go back to the person he was. He is becoming too soft. Some time alone in the world is just what he needs.

"Is that right..."
I say in a rather unimpressed tone.
"And what exactly would your party do to assist Capitalism and as a result our company here if I was to say vote in that particular direction?"

"Most of the kibbutzim were founded in the fourties, during the fight for Eretz Yisrael. The socialists who founded them were hated by mainstream socialists, because they did not have an international, or even a national focus. There are religious kibbutzim, and secular kibbutzim. This one is secular," Michal explains.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Tommorow is Yom Ha'atzmaut. That means Israeli independence day. We will be having a great party."

"Excuse me," Dr. Roth says timidly, as a soldier blocks him from going through the security checkpoint in the airport.
"You are Dr. Warren Roth? You are not allowed to leave," the soldier says in a thick German accent.
"Why not?" Dr. Roth asks, even though he already knows the answer. The soldier blocking him is a child. He can't be more than nineteen.
"You are Jewish slime, and speak against Nazism. Also, you write degenerate works, such as poetry," the soldier spits.
The soldier 'escorts' Dr. Roth to an army truck.
"Get in!" the soldier barks.
Dr. Roth is taken out to the woods. There are many other people there.
This is a nightmare. This isn't real. This isn't the 1940's.
The people are given shovels and ordered to start digging. After there is a large hole, they are ordered to take off any valuables. Dr. Roth takes out his wallet, and drops it on the ground in the pile with the rest.
This isn't happening.
"Take off your glasses, swine!" another soldier orders. Dr. Roth hesitates, and is hit in the face with a rifle butt. His glasses shatter, and there is a sickening crack which indicates that his nose has been broken.
Dr. Roth sits down, cradling his bleeding face. Then, he is shot in the back of the head, and thrown into the pit. His body is covered with lye, and another layer of dead people is thrown on, until the people are gone, and the pit is full.
((Dr. Roth is dead.))

I recieve a memo that the Secretary of State wants to talk to me, most likely concerning my draft proposal to withdraw from the UN, which I am not sure how he got his hands on...
It appears that it may be nessasary to step up my plans, and without Rei Usagi's help as I don't have time to recall her. I leave a message for the Secretary of State that I will see him tommorow, and secretly fly out to Texas to see the HOLY representative...

"Well that's great. And hey, we've been talking for quite a while now. Do you have any work for me to do? As I said, I don't mind pitching in." Cambridge replies to Michal.

After a day of work I can't help but think of Cambridge, and wonder why she left before I even woke up. As I think back I can tell there was definately something else on her mind, but I haven't a clue what. I want to talk to her, but I have this funny feeling that she may want to be left alone for the moment... I will call her tommorow.
When I finish my work for the day I go down to the bistro to get a light dinner. Besides, it's a nice day out.

Bassarov spends some time searching for Soledad, Jose, and Tom, and finally bumps into Tom near the hotel.
"Oh hey there Tom. How's it going?"

"Oh hello Valodya. I'm doing allright, how are things in the world of active socialists?" I ask with genuine curiousity, because aside from Cambridge and the people in the office I haven't talked to another socialist since before May Day.

"The strikes in this country were busted by the police and armed henchmen. So that is a little disappointing. However, we have learned from this, and Alejos is organizing Workers Defense Commitees." Bassarov replies.

"Defense committees? That sounds an awful lot like the first step towards armed revolution to me... I mean I guess it's okay, but keep an eye on it. Having a revolution too soon could be worse than no revolution at all." My meal of a cheeseburger arrives. "Want something? It's not like I have a lot to spend my pay on."
